This was a beautiful RV campground close to the Royal Gorge near the Cañon City. The restrooms and showers on site we're clean and up to date. If you're arriving after dark know it is very hard to navigate to find your spot by the way the camp sites are laid out, so I recommend getting there during daylight. The staff here are very friendly, and keep the grounds very tidy.

The cabin was tidy and comfortable, and the price was great. The bathrooms were also immaculate which was greatly appreciated. We enjoyed the views of the mountains from the campground and the fact that the Royal Gorge was only minutes away.

We were looking to stay in Colorado Springs but couldn’t find a campground we liked so we decided to stay at the KOA in Canon City. We were definitely happy with staying there! Peggy was amazing to work with. We decided to come in a day early and she went way above and beyond to get it figured out for us! She was friendly and very accommodating! We stayed in a premium site that had a concrete pad and a pebble area that had a fire pit. There was plenty of room between sites. The park felt safe and was very relaxing. There was putt putt course and a cool looking slide! This will definitely be our go to park when we are in the area.

My extended family (3+ households depending on the year) go camping every year, usually to a KOA as it has a little something for everyone. This was to be our 2nd year at this particular location and had hopes to make it our annual spot. Unfortunately, my cousin's child recently suffered a terrible accident and has been in the hospital since, making this year unfeasible for them to join us. The reservations state that we have 7 days to cancel cabins and 48 hours for tent and RV sites. We tried to cancel their cabin within the week of our reservation, when we realized that my family member was not going to be well enough to make it on this trip, however, KOA was unwilling to work with us to cancel the cabin, even though we were within the 7 days to cancel, and went as far as saying that it wasn't really up to them, it was up to the owner, who is never there, and the employee was unwilling to "bug" the owner for fear of losing her job.To make matters worse the only thing they could "offer" was for my cousin to personally call those on the wait list to see if we can get it covered. Something that shouldn't be their responsibility even in the best of circircumstances. I'm so disappointed that this was the experience we had. We won't be back. May 2018
