Great little campground near many area attractions. We stayed here for both 4th of July and labor day weekends, both times the campground was very clean. We really enjoy site 16 as it is in between majority of the seasonal campers, our dogs enjoyed the peace and quiet of it!

It was a very nice, quiet and clean Campground. It was so great to have a clean shower after a long day and the ice cream was delicious too.

Cute spot! Owners were very friendly. Invited our niece to join their kids birthday party and even left us cupcakes. We had a great time and would definitely go back.

The extras at this campground are what make it stand out. Ice cream, food, RV’s to rent, cabins, etc. It’s like an all inclusive resort. But when we stayed there were a lot of barking dogs all day and loud groups of people around fires at night. You can tell this is the kind of place that has season long “regulars” and they act like the usual campground curtesy rules don’t apply to them.

We spent 4 nights at Royal Mountain Campground and loved it!! It is relatively quiet (especially during the week), and the owners are super nice. The bathrooms and showers were very clean every day. The ice cream shack was just the cherry on top! It is centrally located to many fun things to do (bike, hike, visit museums and historical farms, drive into Albany, etc.).

We stayed here one night in October in a travel trailer while traveling coast to coast. This is a nice, quiet campground. I suspect it would be a comfortable, pleasant stay in the summer. The bathrooms/showers reminded me of Scout camp! They were very clean. The problem with traveling in October is it gets dark early and, therefore, we didn't arrive early enough to fully enjoy this campground. We did get a great rate, however. Perhaps one day we can return.

What a nice campground. Quiet after the traffic ends for the day. Located in a beautiful area of NY. There is a little fishing pond. Granny's ice cream is the best. Huge portion small price. Lots of trees and shade. Management Todd, is very friendly and nice. We would return to this campground.

Thank goodness for a place like Royal Mountain. Made a last minute reservation via phone. Woman on the phone was extremely helpful. Told her we'd probably arrive after their offc closed at 8 PM. She called me at 8 to see how close I was. Told her GPS said we'd be there ~9:30 PM. She gave the owner a heads-up. He met us at the gate when we arrived - then led us to our campsite, and even helped direct us as we backed in to our site in the dark. So appreciate their awesome customer service. The whole campground and facility reflects their pride. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great place to stay! Friendly owners. Granny's Ice cream is dangerously good! We love the smell of the pines and the total atmosphere of the place.
