Ruby's Inn RV Park & Campground

Overview

Ruby's Inn RV Park & Campground serves as a historic gateway for travelers visiting the red rock wonders of Southern Utah. As part of the iconic Ruby Syrett legacy, this park offers a well-established base camp that blends rustic charm with the conveniences of a full-service resort. It is a high-energy destination where the spirit of the Old West meets modern RVing needs, providing a comfortable sanctuary for those eager to explore the unique geological formations nearby.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in Bryce Canyon City, the park is less than a mile from the entrance to Bryce Canyon National Park. Surrounded by towering ponderosa pines at an elevation of over 7,000 feet, the air is crisp and the scenery is rugged. Guests benefit from the seasonal shuttle service that stops right at the property, making it incredibly easy to reach the canyon’s most famous overlooks without the stress of navigating park traffic or limited parking lots.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is designed to accommodate everything from small tents to large motorhomes. Many sites feature full hookups and spacious pull-through layouts for easy maneuvering. Key features include:

  • A heated outdoor pool and a relaxing hot tub for post-hike recovery.
  • On-site laundry facilities and clean shower houses for traveler convenience.
  • Access to a massive general store and diverse dining options.

The proximity to the main Ruby’s Inn complex ensures that guests have every necessity within walking distance of their campsite.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

While the Hoodoos of Bryce Canyon are the primary draw, the area offers much more for outdoor enthusiasts. Guests can easily access guided horseback tours along the canyon rim or rent ATVs to explore the trails within the Dixie National Forest. For those who enjoy scenic drives, the park provides easy access to Highway 12, one of America’s most beautiful byways. In the evenings, western-themed entertainment and Dutch oven dinners offer a complete cultural experience.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is ideal for national park enthusiasts who prioritize location and convenience above all else. Families will appreciate the variety of activities and resort-style amenities that keep everyone entertained after a day of hiking. Because of the wide sites and easy access, it is also a premier choice for big-rig owners looking for a reliable, high-service stopover while navigating the beautiful but demanding terrain of the Utah desert.

We've been full time RVing 3 years and I honestly say Ruby's Inn RV park has the largest lot sites We've been. Nice lawn, built in fire pit , level gravel/dirt parking. Good hook ups. Nice clean laundry room . Nice employees, gifts, camp store. Some walking and hiking paths . No dog park but was allowed our dog off leash in open pasture located on both sides of the the campground. Ruby's is located near grocery store and restaurants and fairly close to the Bryce NP.

Recent stay in Oct. We had lot 221 in the back big rig lot and 116 in the older section. We enjoyed our stay very much. Every single person we encountered was very friendly and helpful. I liked the big lot because of the size of the lots; very quiet. Although the older section is very pretty with the trees, most of the lots seemed very close together. The laundry room was nice/clean and reasonable. At the last minute we had to extend our stay and a young man named Lloyd was very helpful. He spent a lot of time with us and was able to accommodate us in the overflow lot behind Ruby's Inn. My only negative comment would be that some items in the office/store are way overpriced. So make sure you have spare batteries and don't forget the fixin' for smores'. We would definitey stay here again.

The campground is beautiful. Not sure that closing the back restroom/shower at 9am for cleaning is the best time. That's when everyone needs them! Also, there are no showers or changing rooms at the pool. I used that bathroom but there are NO hooks to hang your clothes. The store is very expensive. The people at check in were very nice and provided information on the shuttles and local places. Nice big sites and level.

Ruby's, RV park and campground is right next to Bryce Canyon National Park. There are shuttle buses into the park each day and there is a stop right at the entrance to the campground. We stayed in the newest section of the campground. It was deluxe RV camping with full hookups and wide, level pull through driveway. Each site also had a fairly large grassy area for the campsite. There's a picnic table and firepit. The showers and toilet were very clean, in excellent condition. Great, hot water and water pressure. This is a great campground right next to Bryce Canyon, I highly recommend it. The picture of our truck and fifth wheel is site 227.

There is no doubt that Ruby's location to Bryce Canyon National Park is second to none. Your ability to drive into the park quickly at any time of day is a definite plus. For us, that was why we camped there. Our site was not spacious at all and not even close to being level. We had to use blocks under our stair supports because the drop off was so bad. We had a few cinder blocks and rocks as our fire ring, some sites only had holes in the ground. We did have full hook ups. The newer section of the park in the back looked much roomier, but with less trees. Choose your site carefully if you decide to stay here. Ruby's is a huge campus which includes the campground, lodge, shopping and restaurants. It had a very touristy vibe to us-somewhat like the Wisconsin Dells. If that is your thing than you will love it. There is nothing wrong with it, it is just not for us.
