I have been to all the Thousand Trails parks in the west in the past two years. There are a couple of things I really liked about this one: 1. It is smaller and quaint as a whole. This lead to a more friendly experience in the park. 2. Every spot is level and paved. This is the only one in the west where I just backed straight in to my spot and everything was level, paved, and shady. 3. Nature is supreme. I saw four mother deer and each had a small faun with it. The trees are greatly varied and shade is abundant. There also is a small river that you can enjoy when it is hot out. 4. I saved the best for last... The staff. They were extremely professional and courteous. I felt that anything that happened, their first concern was to make sure the guests were treated with kindness and respect. I really love when employees put their heart into their job. Most of all, we needed a reservation change so we could get home earlier, and "Lauren" made it happen at 7:30pm on a Sunday WHILE she was very positive with her words and ideas with us. I truly felt like I was getting the same level of customer service that I would at a fancy hotel in Hawaii. Thank you to TT and Russian River TT employees for this meaningful experience at the end of our four month trip!

We have been traveling the country in our RV and have stayed at countless RV parks all over. We do not have high expectations and this is the first negative review we have written. We paid $86 for an RV site, water and electric only which is by far the most we’ve spent anywhere. We thought we would splurge because it’s our anniversary and we were going wine tasting the next day. The place is run down to put it nicely. The bathrooms were gross with half the stalls not working, a sink overfull and the shower barely working. The place is not green like in the photos. The laundry is outside and clothes left out. Garbage boxes outside of dumpsters. We didn’t want to spend anytime out of our RV and feel completely ripped off.

A decent little campground. They only have 30a power and water at the sites. No sewer connectors at the sites. When we arrived, we took our time and found our assigned site. There was no chance we would fit in it. The site was for much smaller rvs. We returned to the front office to make it known we needed a different site. They assigned us another, however it was already taken. Again we returned to get a site. We were given a list of sites and to pick whichever worked/ was empty. The roads are small and steep so navigating with a large 5th wheel behind us was not easy. The power has been relatively solid between 118-121v. Water pressure has been ~20psi.

Overall the campground is nice but dated. The riverfront is nice enough but it is all rock, no sand make sure you have water shoes, and although walkable from B and C if you are taking gear down plan on driving. We were in loop B. Our site was fine, a bit small, with room for the trailer and our 6 chairs, nothing more. No games, none of that. They have a play area but it is for kids maybe up to about 8 years old. The tetherball pole has a string hanging from it no ball. The basketball half-court was fine but with the number of kids, it was always being used. The restrooms in loop C are closed for renovations so everyone from C that isn't in a cabin came up to the restrooms in B. In the men's restrooms, there were 2 stalls, 1 of which was closed for maintenance screwed closed, so clearly it has been closed and will be for a while. 1 of the shower heads leaked all weekend and a very steady pace (upkeep is not occurring). Multiple times I went in to use the restroom and due to the high volume of people, there was no TP or towels to dry your hands off with. The women's restroom had some of the same issues, but 1 of the 2 showers didn't have a lock on it (it was missing the slide), so my girls just waited to take a shower in the 1 that had a lock. The staff are very nice. They had a fun Memorial Day scavenger hunt for the kids to get some Thousand Trail swag. It was much quieter than I expected which was nice, everyone respected the 11pm quiet hours. Overall, not sure we will be back again. Good place for a quick break on a trip elsewhere.

Very pretty area in the spring time but we were disappointed that there is no sewage hook ups at our site and our check in package said nothing about needing a bathroom code to use the facilities. If you have a larger rv 30’ plus it is very difficult to navigate this park without scraping tree branches or bottoming out on steep driveways, pull through spots are worse than the back in, and spaces are assigned. The water pressure is dismal and so is cell service. If you have dogs keep them on the paths as there is poison ivy everywhere and unfortunately no dog park for them. The best thing about this park is the coveys of quail running around and scenery.

I am a member ervof Thousand Trails and so glad I bought one 3 years ago. This campground is... ummmm... well. It needs some updating and attention. Showers in C section (where I was) was being renovated (3 more months). Why am I using the showers you ask? There are no sewer hook ups and only 30amp power. Had I realized this, I may have stayed elsewhere. Staff was nice. Wish the bathrooms were cleaned daily. Don't get me started on the laundry facilities, we went in town instead. We liked the cloverdale community. Would we come back... doubtful. We did make a youtube video on Coolest Life.

We always love visiting this campground!! The river is so close to the campsites, we love that they have a playground for our kids to play on, and the staff is always so friendly and kind. We also love the proximity to so many amazing restaurants, and wineries. Would highly recommend staying here!

Not a fan. We were put in a site that would be perfect for a class B van, but have a TT and pickup. Section C restroom and shower are closed ( heard it's been closed over a year) and with no sewer connection means you pay for a honey wagon or break camp and dump. Campgrounds look nice, but won't be back

It is a beautiful place, but sites are tight, and the roads are tricky to navigate. It was fine for our overnight, but I won't reserve here again. If you have a small trailer/camping setup it would probably be fine. No sewer, no cell reception and only 30amp sites with water.

This Thousand Trails campground is quiet, easy to get, and the sites are well kept. The security staff is attentive and friendly. This is our second time visiting, and will certainly return!

This little hidden gem is so nice and cozy with such a welcoming look and feel that justs wraps itself around you upon arrival, it's like coming home, only better, in my opinion, because I don't have to scrub or scour the bathroom, lol...! The staff are friendly and welcoming, there's plenty of things to do and see for everyone without having to travel far away from the campground, they are very pet friendly, and the raw scenic beauty is breath taking. I always feel like the epitome of a"Happy Camper" from check in until check out.

The man at the entrance was very kind. The park itself is very tight. So if you have a big RV, you better be a really good driver. It is on a hill, also. The bathroom is disgusting...lots of spiders and spider webs. We were only there one night and I don't think it was cleaned in the 2 days we were there.

Coming into this Thousand Trails campground made us a little nervous at first. Coming off of the highway there are broken down campers and RV encampments along the road. None of it interfered with the campground itself though. Check-in was easy but the entrance is a bit tight for bigger rigs. If you have a larger rig be very conscious of where the spots are that allow for them. Ask at the ranger office for the list of ones they should have open. Drive extremely slow. Roads and turns are very narrow. Some spots are inclined in a way that your hind end may really scrape the ground/asphalt. There are grooves in the road everywhere it is common. Spaces are all 30 amp with no sewer hookups. Many spaces are very narrow/tight and uphill from your neighbor. The asphalt of many spots is crumbling along the edges and the dirt eroding away. If you have stairs that come out a ways they may just end at a cliff. Facilities are all in desperate need of updates and in a state of disrepair. Bathroom walls were falling off. Laundry is outdoors which I found extremely odd. All-in-all the park just seemed quite rough. There's really nothing to do in the area either. We stayed for 10 days which we felt was WAY too long.
