Great free place to camp. Lots of places already lined with rocks for the campsite and firepits with them too. Wasn't too crowded in May at all. No facilities, but a couple of places close by for dump and water. A bit of litter around, but really not too bad

Don't go camping here unless you come with a camper/RV: The wind speed here is absolutely insane. My husband and I struggled to put up the tent, and it honestly looked like the wind was going to take him away with the tent. On top of that, the open exposure to the blistering sun makes it very easy to overheat and get sunburned. I repeat: Do NOT go camping here without a camper/RV. Upside: If you like rockhounding, this is a good place to find fire agate (and possibly quartz).

Park anywhere you like, some spots might need a 4x4. Great cactus around. Good hiking, just be careful in some spots. Found some fire agate too! Awesome landscape.

The flies were crazy! Here to stay in our rv for 2 weeks. Saw the reviews but thought yall were whimps. We are packing up on day 12 (in February). We can't handle it anymore. Don't come here to camp. Do come here to rockhound! Found tons of surface rocks miles away from the mountain. Look for the black rocks to find the pretties!

Beautiful sunsets! Stayed 3 nights with the RV. Nice space between camps and quiet. Awesome scenery on BLM roads going around the mountains, some definitely require 4x4. The roads coming off West Courthouse road were pretty decent to take the RV to camp. Plenty of chalcedony and occasional fire agate for rockhounds.

Lots of great undeveloped free camping. Lots of flys, but they are actually not that annoying. Great hiking right there. Occasional manure smell outside, but not overwhelming. Great place to boondocks in March.

Beautiful spot with lots of options for level camping. Good access though do be careful for the washes closer to the rocks, some short sections there are impassible and you don't want to end up backing out. The road in is perfectly fine for all rigs. Typical winter wind, no flies at the moment, and crystals to find!

I really like this place, lovely scenery, ground easy for my small pup to walk on, great sunrise and sunset routine. Others have posted about the surplus of flies, believe it. I've not had a problem with the odors except when walking along the road. There are 4 entrances, the one maps takes you to and three others towards Tonopah. I think the fourth may be easiest in and it is the easiest way to the upper area. Stayed here last of February 2022 in truck camper. Will definitely return
