To anyone reading these, the annual sites always look great, not because the staff does anything to maintain them, but we maintain our own. This past season was horrible for upkeep of the other sites. Location is great, love the people, but I guess because we do such a good job of maintenence, they have increased our annual fee by $1000.00 for next season!

We parked here for two weeks and really enjoyed our stay. They had a lot of weekend activities for all ages and the staff is some of the friendliest staff we've had the chance to meet. There are a lot of annuals here but we have found them to be extremely nice and have sat around several campfires making new friends. Our site is a 30 amp FHU in C section and mostly shaded. We had to use leveling blocks under one front tire but other than that, it's a good site. I like that each shower in this section's bath house has its own room with a locking door, but I would have liked the hot water to be hotter. I would call it very warm but not hot. The laundry room is closed due to plumbing issues but everything else in the park was open for business including a well stocked store. We camped at Thousand Trails St Clair in a Motorhome. There is a lot to do in the are between St. Clair, Marysville and Port Huron and Detroit is only an hour south. If you are up to it, you can visit Canada via the Blue Waters Bridge in Port Huron.

Checked in on Friday with a reservation for FHU & was given an unlevel tree crowded site with no sewer hook up. Mary said she didn’t have any to move us to. This was untrue because at least 3 were empty all weekend. Mary said check back on Monday & she would have a site to move us to with sewer hook up. Again Mary spoke untruthfully. On Monday Mary said she had larger rigs coming into & needed those sites for them. There were 3 FHU sites this morning & I know only 2 campers were pulling in today because I looked in the late arrival box as we were pulling out of this place. Mary had left for the day. We were strung along all weekend after not getting the site our reservation clearly stated we had. Not only did it ruin our holiday but it has ruined my faith in TT & its management. 40 years of membership is only getting us false promises & lies. If you have a huge rig you may have better honesty & luck with Mary. Good luck- we left to try to salvage some of our travel week & to get to do laundry after being on the road for 4 weeks. Oh & their laundry room is closed until further notice! If TT is going to not give you what your reservation is booked for they could at least let you know in advance of arrival so you could have the option to go somewhere else. I definitely feel this is bait & switch. We are beyond angry & annoyed as this has happened to us with several of our TT stays lately. Otherwise the campground has a lot of seasonal folks on huge sites. It has a lot of trees in most sites & needs a lot of upgrades.

When we checked into our rustic cabin it was very obvious it hadn't been cleaned between guests. The mattress protectors weren't on, there was hair all over the mattresses. And the door to the cabin doesn't actually lock! You have to pay for wifi, 8dollars per day. The showers hot and cold settings are reversed. Despite all that the facilities were clean enough.

Bathrooms were gross, with a “no pooping in shower” sign in the bathhouse. Worse than a gas station bathroom. We didn’t have sewer and stayed 8 days, so we had to use it. Golf was good. Pool looked good, but wasn’t open yet. Basketball was okay. Volleyball looked okay. We had people smoking pot next to us, so joy! Our site was okay, overgrown grass coming through the rock. This could be really nice, but it’s not. We likely won’t stay again here, unless out of necessity. No issues with staff, they were nice. Gated, which is great…except we weren’t given a pin and had to call 4 numbers before someone answered to give us the pin. That was terrible. Close enough to Detroit and Port Huron, so location was fine. Interstate noise, but we expected that. Overall it just needs attention and elbow grease.
