This review is for the campground only. We pulled up after checking site for availability. First question was do we have a pet. I said yes. DOGS are NOT allowed. What? We have been to campgrounds around the country and have never been turned down because of our dog. No wonder they had plenty of openings. Tax money supported place doesn’t allow dog. Sad.

I have only used the boat landing at this park to access the St. Croix River. Very nice landing! Three launch ramps, nice dock to tie up to, plenty of parking for truck and trailer or single cars if you are having people meet you. The launch is in a back channel so you aren’t fighting the current of the river when using the launch. Excellent way to access the St. Croix.

Very nice park. Pull through slots for our RV with full hook ups. Lots to do -- hiking, biking, walking too. On the weekends is a 2-night minimum. Price was good, but there was an addition $7 per night per vehicle in park fees. Firewood was close by and bought on the honor system.

very nice park with playgrounds, nice rest room facilities, picnic area with shelter, grills, tennis courts, campground, group camping area, and boat launch.

Highly impressed with the new playground. Large oak trees provide shade even during the high sun times of the day. Great for littles and has obstacle course options that hold the attention for older kids. 50 yard walk from parking lot. Love hearing the birds and exploring the bugs all around as we played.

This park has less kids stuff than most, but it makes for a more quiet experience with less kids and dogs. Bathrooms are clean, trails are nice for both the biking and walking.

Beautiful views and not crowded on the trail down to the beach/boat launch area.

Fantastic park with great parking spaces and great restrooms and wonderful playground equipment for kids. Beach access and boat launch are busy. Many people fishing . Another camping trip this past weekend was again Great! Appears bathrooms showers revamped and better. Had Huge campsite! Great playground and trails the kids loved.

Very nice park for camping off the beaten path. Nice, quiet stay that really got us back in touch with nature. Perfect temperatures the end of July. They have campfire rings at each site, which we used several times. We brought our travel trailer and they provided electric. We did have to use their bathhouse because they didn’t have water on site. Also no cell signal (but I took that as a positive!) Overall a nice time.

Great place to take your kids. Nice playground, hiking trails, small beach, nice boat launch. Got some great senior pictures of my son throughout the park.

I love going camping here. The staff is very friendly. They keep the park really clean. Bathrooms are kind of far if your in the 40s for camp site. But so peaceful

Very nice location and a lot of fun things to do while here. The modern campsites that are for campers and RVs I think could use some more trees for cover between campsites. You can see your neighbors to well. Good prices fun little place.

Someone who grew up nearby gave me the heads up that this park might have been the 3M company campground in the past. I can believe it! I have never been to a campground as well planned out, with spacious sites, nice bathhouses, extensive kids playground, bicycle trails (paved) and tennis courts! Before the reception building is an electronic bulletin board answering many questions. There is a self service kiosk to pay for day use, ice and firewood, but not camp sites. Surprisingly, a t 7:10 PM on a Tuesday night, the spacious office was open and I quickly had a site.

Only 20 minutes from downtown St. Paul and I felt like I was 1,000,000 miles away. It’s a gorgeous park with a lovely beach, boat ramp and camping sites. The bathrooms are probably the nicest ones I’ve ever seen in a campground. Big negative: no pets. I have no idea why dogs are not allowed but it was very disappointing.
