Beautiful park right on the banks of the Salmon Lake. Great boat launch. Several picnic tables and benches to view the lake.

Stopped here for one night on our way to Glacier National Park. Overall the road noise would prevent us from ever staying longer than one night in our roof top tent. The shower facilities ⚠️ water does not heat up. Does take quarters and there is a bill to quarter exchange machine but come prepared with your own roll of quarters in case the machine is out of order! If it weren’t for the road noise we would consider returning here. Stayed August 7th and it was exceedingly warm enough that we did not need a fire.

We ended up here randomly and couldn’t be happier. What an absolutely beautiful spot! Surrounded by tall pines and peaceful lake views, it’s the perfect place to unwind. There’s decent parking, a nice swimming area, and lots of picnic tables scattered around. The water was crystal clear, warm, and incredibly refreshing which was perfect for a summer dip. Tons of people were out enjoying the lake on paddleboards, canoes, and boats, and the vibe was super chill. There’s also camping available, with plenty of great spots to check out around the lake. Whether you’re just stopping in for the afternoon or planning to stay the night, Salmon Lake is a hidden gem you won’t regret visiting.

Beautiful clean campground. Nice wide camping spots. Only downside is next to highway and can hear traffic. It does stop or slow down at night. The lake is gorgeous

Beautiful lake for a paddle and/or kayak. Paddled across from the boat launch to the little island. The rocks around the shores are beautiful. Parking was easy, access was quick and the picnic areas are nicely separated with great “beach” access.
