Salt Lake City KOA
Kristan Settlemire
The grounds and facilities are all maintained, clean and so nice. This campground is amazing and puts you right in the heart of the city to do numerous activities. Jump on your bike and ride the tails, grab an uber and go to some of the best restaurants the city has to offer or just order in and sit by your campfire. What a joy this place was!!!

I give the KOA a 5 star because the campground its self is really nice they keep up with maintenance and appearance. The staff was nice and friendly. Out side of the KOA isn't as nice but I lived in SLC before and the city has cleaned up the area alot. Its not the KOA"S fault they do what they can. Its also to note this is a KOA in the middle of a 2 million people city youre going to hear city noise. If you dont want that dont stay there. But if you do the convenience is nice short ride to downtown on the train that is located right outside of the KOA. Id recommended this if going to or through SLC.

Great Stay at Salt Lake City KOA We had a great stay at the Salt Lake City KOA! The park was clean, well maintained, and easy to navigate. The sites were level and spacious, with plenty of room for our Class A motorhome and tow vehicle. The staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming, making check-in quick and easy. The location is convenient to nearby stores and restaurants while still feeling quiet and relaxed. A great stop for comfort, convenience, and excellent service — we’ll definitely stay here again!

Nice campground close to downtown. The neighborhood is cleaned up a lot compared to what it was when we lived in SLC several years ago. For those complaining about noise, trains, etc - you picked a park that's literally walking distance to a major metropolitan downtown. Should be common sense its not a back to nature campground. That being said, campground has nice hookups, amenities, and mature shade trees. Would stay again. Great location for those looking to enjoy what downtown SLC has to offer.

We visited this campsite and were so surprised! The location is perfect: close to the traix train which goes to downtown and also to the airport. The campground looks nice with a lot of trees. The most we were impressed by the kind and very good service. It was possible to store our luggage and to donate our left overs. We could stay there near swimming pool and use showers after checking out and before going to the airport. A real good place to stay, we can recommend that! Thanks KOA SLC!

Great location for downtown events. Walking distance to rental car center if you need one. Friendly staff & maintenance crew. Very clean grounds & immaculately clean facilities. Fun media center for kids. Lots of dog facilities. Office/market has everything you need. 7-Eleven walking distance too. Scooters everywhere to rent on streets if needing to travel without auto. Across street from electric train too. Although downtown, felt safe.

Location was great for getting to things around SLC but there were homeless around the perimeter. We were first placed near the front but when asked to move they did so with no problems. Fenced dog area with doggy wash. Shower building was nicely heated and stalls were big and had lots of hooks and shelving for stuff.

Beautiful RV park. Probably the best KOA we've stayed. Large concrete spots to park between landscaped grassy knolls.Dog park is ginormous, biggest one we've seen. Bathrooms also spacious and clean. A large park well designed so that you do not feel like you are on top of your neighbor.

Great spot to hunker down in the city and take in the local attractions or Spring Ski in the winter like we did, or participate in summer activities. It’s located in a pretty sketchy part of town, but honestly no problems within the park. I do wish all the bathrooms were open. I know it’s March, but pay the staff to keep all facilities open. Staff were helpful and we even had some mail delivered. They accommodate travellers and they have a more permanent area.

A very pleasant, tree shaded RV park.

Came as an essential worker on airport. They promised me 250/wk and put me on waiting list for monthly. Then changed rate to 455/wk. Gouging me after getting me here. Not worth it but they know They have a monopoly. Right in The middle of crackville.

This is an enormous park located just 2 miles from downtown/Temple Square, however, it gives the feel of being well outside the city once you get check in and to your site! Easy check-in with several lanes allowing you to pull in and not feel rushed or in the way. Friendly knowledgeable staff who share info not only about the park but the area and services that are available there. We were pleased to learn from them that a free shuttle runs every hour directly from the park office to Temple Square. We used this shuttle service and were thrilled not to have to hassle with finding directions and parking downtown! The shuttle also runs to the airport, so should you need to pick up or send other travelers that is pretty convenient too. Reasonably priced with large patio type sites just $3 more than a 'regular' site. Right across the street from light rail public transport if you need it, which leads into the heart of the city and the airport too. We were here in mid-May and surprised to find that the pool had still not been opened. There was a tiny hot-tub but that was filled with kids most of the time since the pool wasn't available. Was not particularly thrilled with our site and would have requested a change had we been staying longer than 2 days. It was a nice pull in with a grassy area, trees and picnic table in the 1000 row which would have been great except for the neighbor. the neighbor's site was on an end, the end site's grassy area is surrounded by a nice hedge. this neighbor was taking full advantage of that area and good for him, but he had parked his 5th wheel at the very edge of our grass and then extended his slide which effectively covered 1/2 our grassy area and made our picnic table inaccessible and useless. we could have pull the table over a bit but would still have felt like we were sitting in his rig had we sat at the table to eat or even have a glass of wine. not a comfy thing. the neighbor looked like he was there long term (monthly) so we didn't feel it would make any difference to ask the office to have him adjust his rig in it's space. Besides that we were quite happy with this park - quiet, clean, friendly, good Wi-Fi coverage!Don't let other's comments about the area/neighborhood freak you out or keep you from staying here. Felt completely safe (I'm from Atlanta, I know from 'ghetto' and 'depressed areas' and this is not bad at all). Lots of great sites here. Perm residents seem to be located around the perimeter but those sites are kept free of the 'ooze' of stuff that happens at some other places. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
