Wonderfull campground, there’s covered pick nick tables, easy lake access, multiple boat ramps, and a hiking trail. There are a few sites in the lower numbers with full hook ups. The two sites in this photo are 21 and 22, 21 being on the left. Across from these sites is access to the lake with no campsites across the road. So it would be a short walk to the water to swim or fish. There is also a bathroom facility with showers 150 feet from site 21. Shower downside is there’s no hot water, may be ok in the summer time to utilize.

Great campground right on the water, so you can fish from shore if you want to. My site was asphalt but because it was laid so long ago, it was no longer level. You have a covered picnic table and a grill at the campsite if you need that. T-Mobile cell service was great here. There is a little community about a mile away that has a fantastic burger place (you MUST eat there), a laundry mat, a bait shop and many other little stores. I would absolutely stay here again if I was in the area.

We love this campground. Plenty of shade, covered picnic table, long pads with a great view of Sam Rayburn reservoir

Nice. Need to upgrade the restrooms and showers, put a few hooks on the doors to hang your clothes and towels. Warmer water would also be nice. The park is well maintained and hosts are very nice. Only have a few sites with 50 amp and they don't have sewage. Bummer. Most sites are too short and need to be lengthened. That would also help with having motere shade. I'm guessing that they have lost at least half of their sites due to erosion of the land, so reservations fill up fast. They have plenty of tent sites, but Texas is too hot to

Such a gorgeous spot to take a weekend off and get away from everything! We enjoy ourselves every time we visit!

Campground hosts friendly and helpful. The park is beautiful and quiet. The main negative is the bathhouse. In one, one must push the button repeatedly to get hot water. Few places to hang up anything.

Wonderful stop for the night on our journey south in search for warmer temperatures. We stayed in site 31. It had electric and water, and with our National Parks Interagency Senior Pass, it was half price. The view of the lake was amazing. The check in process was fast and smooth, and the volunteer staff member was very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend this campground.

The Hosts on duty were very nice. The camp ground is very clean. The only problem was the campers leaving the grounds and not cleaning up after themselves. We stayed Thanksgiving week and had a blast. Fishing was good from shore. We will be back thats for sure.

*Update* our third year to stay here went just as great as every other time. The staff are very friendly, the park is clean, and the water is great. I still highly recommend Twin Dikes to everyone wanting to camp Sam Rayburn. *Original review* We've been here 2 years in a row now. Easily the best campground on Sam Rayburn. We drove to several different campgrounds and didn't find any with access like this one. The tent sites are right on the water with nice sand and rock leading to the water. We were able to launch our boat and keep it in the water right at our campsite.
