Great people and quiet, clean NEW sites. We regrettably had a major issue with our RV and they were more than accommodating in extending our time and helping get all done. The park is being renovated and the sites are mostly gravel pad with new utility and cleared areas. The staff is friendly and always answered the phone…Will return soon as we have additional repairs scheduled in the area.

Location is rough to get to. Staff are nice. They need lots of clean up. We had to change sites. Very buggy but lots of deer. They said pool was heated but it is COLD and dirty. Was still locked, others were waiting for pool too. Supposed to open at 10am, actual time was 2:30pm. Spa has been filled in with concrete. This location is not close to anything. Yes much construction so available sites are limited, not much shade. Bathrooms are nice.

The location is a good area if you’re a hunter otherwise it’s a long way to any amenities. The park itself is under construction and not kept up very well. The spaces are very tight together and we really did not like sharing our picnic area with the trailer next to us. The other down side is lots of mosquitoes and flys from a nearby stagnant stream. It has full hook ups and bathrooms and we are fine using it as an overnight on our way to our next destination.

I had an Amazing experience at Thousand Trails this last weekend. Bob is Wonderful, Amazing, Perfectly Awesome, Astounding. This is a great place to camp at. I love to play the Miniature Golf that they have. I also love to use their Pool. It’s really nice and refreshing. They also have great Adult and Kid Activities. I also love Jena and Stephanie, They are Amazing. All of the Ranger’s are really nice there.

BEWARE: Not Safe! I used to stay at San Benito Thousand Trails quite often. I would stay there for 3 weeks at a time and then stay my week out at the fairgrounds while I worked in Hollister. The staff knew me very well. One morning in April 2023 I got up and went to work as usual. When I returned at 9:30pm I noticed that the entire park had been evacuated due to flooding. I began to panic because my dog and cat were stranded in my RV. There was No staff around, not even the general manager. The bridges to get to my site were completely under water. It was as if we were in a sinking ship and the Captain had abandoned it, leaving everyone to fend for themselves. Keep in mind, never once did I receive a phone call to advise me that the park was being evacuated. I could have easily made it there in 30 minutes if I had known that. There were a couple other people there who were in the same position as I was in. They said that all the staff had left hours ago. I REFUSED to leave my animals stranded there. So I crossed the flooded bridge on foot in the pitch black dark and walked the 2 miles back to my site so that I could make sure that my pets were okay. I trusted that this park was a safe place for me and my pets, but I was wrong. They have all of my information on file to contact me in case of an emergency yet they failed to do so. This is purely negligence on Thousand Trails. I stayed in the flooded area that night until people arrived the next day. I have not been back since and Thousand Trails refuses to let me out of my contract

5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great time staying at Thousand Trails San Benito! The campground is peaceful, spacious, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. I loved how open and quiet the sites were—plenty of room between neighbors and a great mix of shade and sun. The wildlife was a nice bonus too—saw deer and wild turkeys almost every day! The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth. Bathrooms and showers were clean and well-maintained, and there was always hot water when I needed it. The pool was clean and refreshing, and there's a mini-golf course, playground, and a little store with essentials if you forget something. It's also a great location if you want to explore nearby. Hollister is just a short drive away for supplies, and Pinnacles National Park is close enough for a day trip. Whether you're RVing, tent camping, or using one of the cabins, this place has something for everyone. Definitely planning to come back!

I camped here with my family. If you’re looking for a more mellow place then this is for you. They have lots of amenities for the kids. The pool was not crowded. The staff were nice. It’s a bit dry hot but still nice. We would prefer to camp where there are more families and kids. The spot we got was mostly with retirees, older folk. Still a nice place to camp.

We stayed June 3, - June 6, 2025. Upon arrival, got checked in driving to our site we were crossing the bridge because a fawn was standing in the road it just kept looking around. There mom was on the side of the road with more deer and another fawn was on the other side of the road. So fun. 50 amp service good water pressure and site was level. Keep your eye open as you go thru the park they have nomes and other statues stuffed in trees, stumps and logs fun to try and find them. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay again. It is an out of the way place, 11 miles to town. Just an FYI, gps took us on highway 198 and then 25, very curvy roads added over an hour to our travel time most of the time you where going 30 to 45 mph due to all the curves. But the scenery was beautiful. We came to the San Benito location to visit Pinnacles National Park which was beautiful.

Beware! All smiles at first, then knife in the back later! Spent over 7K on a Elite Membership pkg, later to have it all taken away in 2 years. We were "so called" 15 minutes late evacuating the park during a storm and received a notice during our next stay that our membership was cancelled with no possibility of recovery of any funds. They took our money and never responded to any correspondence in the matter. Evil people to deal with. Buyer beware!

Beautiful, easy access for larger rigs, large spaces. Nice flora and fauna. Lots of deer, ground squirrels, and cats. Clean and pretty!

We needed 16 days to fill. Had I known more or done more research, we wouldn't have come but for 3 nights just to see Pinnacles NP. There's nothing else to see it do anywhere close. The 5 miles off Hwy 25 are rough and narrow! I drove 10-35mph the whole 5 miles to the park. The park hadn't been open long since it flooded. It's still in bad need of updating, trimming of trees, new electrical, sewer, etc. Staff is really nice, tho!

This is not a bad park at all. They do have a putt-putt course, it needs work but is functional. The pool table in the rec room is pretty bad. The swimming pool was great and the basketball court was acceptable. It is 5 miles off the main road which gives you no road or train noise. There are about 8 deer on property that I saw almost every day. Lots of squirrels that dig holes, so watch your step. No problem coming back here. Many new 50amp pedestals. Great place to stay!! The wildlife and scenery are great but what is even better is the staff. Stephanie, Jeff, Erica, Gina, and Kathy are amazing. Their attitude toward guests is more of a "welcome home".

We just got home from four very relaxing and peaceful days at the resort. The staff was excellent, the park itself is clean and very well kept. There really is a lot of wildlife (we did see pigs!). We took a couple of day trips, one into Pinnacles National Park which was beautiful. We will definitely be back!!

DO NOT CAMP HERE!!! Hands down the worst camping experience of my life. So severely run down and overgrown. Trashy!!!!! Potholes, dusty, squirrel holes everywhere, thistles everywhere that will puncture flesh through clothes. Sites are not well maintained or even clearly marked. Bathouse B water heater was out our whole 9 day stay. Not once did I see anyone working on anything! The grounds should be an embarrassment to Thousand Trails and the management of this location. Watched unattended children destroy the lounge which is located in the same building as the management offices. Poorly run top to bottom!!! Just a bit of pride and some work ethic this could be a tremendous place.....to bad the staff and management have neither!!
