Easy to find, be mindful. Google maps will take you through toll roads. Make sure you have your toll roads selected as off on your map questing adventures getting here. Very clean. Very nice! Lots of fun people. Lots of things to do for kiddos and young adults. Don't mind the leaf blowers at 7:00 in the morning because they're out there cleaning up the campgrounds and doing all the other things to make your visit pleasurable.

DO NOT RESERVE SITE 4010 – Unsanitary and Disruptive Conditions I am a long-term RVer of 5 years, and I booked site 4010 four months in advance. Before arriving, I explicitly called to confirm that this site was not subject to the bird-related issues I’d read about in previous reviews. I was assured it would not be a problem. Upon arrival, that assurance proved completely false. This campground is one of the more expensive options around, yet at $1,800 a month plus metered electricity, site 4010 is considered their "cheap economy site," and it is an absolute biohazard. The site is covered in crow feces to the point where sitting outside is impossible. I hadn't even parked my rig yet, and birds were crapping everywhere. I have had to tarp the top of my RV just to protect my property from the constant droppings and to quiet the noise of the debris falling out of the tree above me. Beyond the filth, the infrastructure is failing. There is a strong, persistent sewer smell from both my neighbors and my own site. It is so severe that I have to keep my windows closed. I have never been at a campground before where the sewer odor is so bad that you have to close your gray water tank valve because the smell pushes right up through the pipes into the RV. Lastly, the noise level is unacceptable. While other parks like Campland and county parks have instituted policies where campsites should only be loud enough to hear on their own site so everyone can relax in whatever way is best for them and their families, here it is very, very loud music all day long. The pool area seems to be particularly bad. I understand that people want to hear their music and it adds to their enjoyment, but when their music is projected over the entire pool, and 20 other campsites then that one family is the only family who's allowed to have a good time. Additionally, you can definitely hear freeway noise through most of the night. I use noise canceling headphones throughout the day, and earplugs at night with a heavy duty fan running and an air purifier and can still hear the noise. The staff seemed friendly, but the site manager tried to claim the crows are only out at dusk and dawn—meanwhile, three of them were sitting in the tree directly above me when i arrived at 2pm. I was offered a refund, but it is summertime and reservations are needed 3 to 6 months in advance, so finding another long-term spot on short notice is impossible. I am stuck with the poop and the smell for a 3-month stay. Be very careful what you choose; for the premium price you pay here, the staff is not helpful and site 4010 is completely miserable. Do not book it.

KOA was great. We got a RV spot. The spots were spacious. Driving around the cabins and tent spots were great as well. Lots of activities for the kids. They have jumping pillows, basketball hoops, gaga game area, bike rentals, kids club, and they hold different games/events. The pool was great and 2 jacuzzi’s. The staff were awesome, very friendly. The only thing negative I would have to say is the Cafe food was not worth buying. The pizza was very salty, wings were dry, fish tacos weren’t cooked all the way and it was expensive. They do not show prices on the menu. We ended up throwing out the food. But you don’t go camping to buy Cafe food. It’s just a perk if you want something fast.

This type of campground is really dependent on what your idea of camping is, and what you want to get out of it. If you desire a resort type of experience and the amenities that a resort offers, and want to have that experience while staying in your RV or tent then this is a phenomenal spot. Very clean, tins of activities to do, and it's close to tourist activities that San Diego has to offer. U enjoyed my stay here. I am a tent camper and was wanting to camp somewhere close so chose here to stay. The pool is huge, the cafe has good food and adult beverages, they have activities planned out based on the season. Basketball court, volleyball, play grounds. The tent sites are small and not far from the parking lots where the RVs stay. I prefer a more nature and outdoors type of camping experience which I didn't get here. This site is along the highway and you have the constant sound of highway traffic through the night, and the city lights make it impossible to star gaze the way you can when you truly get away from the hustle and bussle. Give this place a try, it's very nice. I'll more than likely stay here again one day when I am looking for that resort type of experience.

We had a great time at the KOA. The staff was super friendly and always helpful. We booked a deluxe poolside cabin. The kitchen had dishes and pots etc. The gas stove was a little finicky and the microwave only worked some of the time, but the staff was pretty responsive and tried to help where possible. The pool was fun and we were very glad to have the hot tub. This time of year (February) the pool was cold, but it didn't keep the kids from swimming in it. The campground showers and bathrooms were clean and well kept. We wished the jumping pillows were open longer hours. We enjoyed the fun family bikes they had for rent though. Overall, great stay and we will be visiting again!

Friendly staff. Super clean bathrooms, showers, and shared kitchen facilities. Well-marked. I stayed in a tent site. It had power and a light, and a picnic table and fire pit. Quiet times as it’s November, but staff was still around. I only visited the gift shop, it’s well-stocked. Gated at night. Lots of cute cabins. Easy access to the freeway. Great site, would recommend.

Amazing RV park. We loved the luxurious pool area with multiple hot tubs. The facilities were squeaky clean. There is a cafe onsite, camp store and different activities kids from different age groups enjoy. You can rent a cabin, tent site or park your RV. Full hook ups. 50 amp service. We went during the first weekend of fall fest and it was incredible. This park is a 10/10 in all areas!

My godson wanted to go camping for the first time, it was his mother's worst nightmare. So we did the least outdoorsy camping and all were happy. This location is in the middle of San Diego, you can see the freeway and hear loud cars but it was great! It really did feel like we were out of town even though we only drove 20 minutes to get there. It is amazing for families, so many things for the kids to do and the best part for the tired parents, the pool and hot tubs close late. Perfect way to end the day after kid friendly activities all day. We were there for the fall festival, with a costume parade, pumpkin carving, Halloween decor prices. It was lovely. The community kitchen is very convenient, the baths and showers were clean. I'm very tempted to check out other KOA locations, maybe in an area with less light pollution to look at the stars

I got a deluxe pool side cabin for my parents to stay in for 4 nights. It was so cute, clean, and efficient. My mom loved being so close to the pool and everything was within walking distance. Plenty of towels, basic cooking tools, and it even had a full sized fridge and dish washer. They can't wait to visit again!

They do a great job maintaining their amenities, which is definitely a strong point for this campground. However, the tent sites are much smaller compared to other state campgrounds—you can even hear snoring from neighboring tents. Also, the quiet hours policy wasn't enforced very well, which made the nights a bit noisy. Lastly, there are a lot of birds around the site. Be prepared for early morning wake-up calls from their loud singing—and possibly some droppings on your tent.

The activities for kids are great. If you can definitely get a pull through rv spot. When we showed up after dark our back in spot was almost impossible to get into because of the narrow roadway and the massive parties going on which had extra vehicles everywhere and picnic tables in the way. This is very much a party place so not for people who want privacy and quiet.

Amazing, family-friendly experience. My collective family reserved 6 cabins in a row, and it was an amazing weekend. So many things to do for the 5 cousins under 5, great staff, clean facilities, convenient location- 5 stars all around!

We have been coming here for years now and this place has become a foundational part of my family’s life. We have made so many core memories from learning to swim to learning to ride bike and scooter, birthday parties, Halloween celebrations and Easter gatherings. The staff here are just phenomenal! They always have a positive attitude and find ways to connect with my kids and make them feel special. I have to give a special shout out to their Events Director Bobbi - Bobbi always makes it a point to come over and chat with our family no matter how busy she is. She has helped me through many tantrums with my toddler with her special touch. You can tell she just gets it and she has added so many events that really get my boys excited about their visit to the KOA. After visiting so many different KOA’s across the nation, we can happily say that this one has our heart and this one is home 🏠.

We are 69’ with our motorhome towing an enclosed trailer and we stuck out just a touch on one of their longest pull throughs but it worked out fine. Our site was nice. Not real busy most of the week which was a plus. Enjoyed the hot tub multiple nights. Love that they have 2. Dog area was large and nice. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Wish the cafe had better hours in the off season but not much complaint other than that.
