We've been going to Sandlake for years and always have a great experience. Gary, the owner, is wonderful and very accommodating. My family always has a blast every time we visit. I gave the rooms a 4-star rating only because the fans could really use a good cleaning and the cabins could be a bit upgraded, but everything else has been consistently great.

Gary is truly the man! His hospitality and service were absolutely top-notch. The campground was peaceful, quiet, and filled with friendly, welcoming people. My kids had an amazing time, made new friends, and created lasting memories. One of the highlights was the water tour, made super convenient with the rentals provided right at Sand Lake Campground. Everything was easy, fun, and relaxing. We’re already talking about coming back for more camping trips. Big thanks to Gary for such a wonderful experience!

We recently stayed nine days at Sand Lake Campground & Cottages with another family, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The booking process was simple, and the host Gary was incredibly friendly and responsive, which made everything even more enjoyable. The cottage itself was spotless and very well-maintained. The spacious first floor had a large, comfortable living room with cozy sofas — perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The kitchen was generously sized and fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. One of the standout features was the incredible panoramic water view right from the property. Being lakeside made the entire trip feel peaceful and refreshing. The large deck, along with the front and back balconies on the second floor, offered plenty of space to unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings. Each bedroom had its own air conditioner, and there was an extra fan and large screened windows throughout the cottage, allowing for great air flow. Everything was designed with comfort in mind. We loved the outdoor amenities as well — from the firepit to the canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards. The fishing was great too, making it easy to spend hours on the water. It also has a lovely dog park our dog enjoyed. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would absolutely recommend Sand Lake Campground & Cottages to anyone looking for a clean, spacious, and scenic retreat. This is our fifth trip here, I think, but first time over three days. We will definitely be coming back again!

This campground is super clean and in a great spot right by the lake — the views are amazing. Gary, the owner, is really nice and thoughtful, always looking out for his guests. I’d definitely love to come back if I get the chance!
