Nice campground with reserved spaces as well as first come first serve spaces. Spots to tent camp right on the sand. Step away from a Sandy swim Beach. The tree provided lots of shade which was great. Will pick this spot again!

We were a group of 4 families, it was clean, there was water, bathrooms and the beach is just awesome, highly recommend! The trails around the campsite for mountain biking are also really cool and for all levels, the black rated trails are really good and raw, the blue ones are kid friendly

We enjoyed our stay! Our spot was a few steps from the Sandy beach. It was perfect. If you don’t mind ants 🐜 they do not bite but they are everywhere. It was fun, quiet & clean.

I guess if you try hard enough you can find something to complain about anywhere you camp. Could the grounds be better maintained, probably. On the positive side there are plenty of bathrooms, potable water spigots, and trash containers. the only thing we didn't like was the 3pm check-in and 11am check out. like others have said amazing views, sunsets and sandy beach like the ocean. We enjoyed our stay and will return.

I love this place, I really recommend this place, the water is beautiful we went in July and we loved it so much we went home bragged about it and talked my family into going in a few weeks after that! The campground is really comfortable so open and absolutely amazing!!

Cool place with the nice beach, but sometimes it is really windy here and sometimes people around pretty loud at night and don't care about others

Campsite are very tightly packed (~30ft between tables), meaning you're part of the roudiest party group that night. And most of your neighbors will be blasting Toby Keith 24-7. The ant population is notably healthy because, surprise, drunks aren't great about cleanup. It's a great place to come for a group party boat weekend, or if you want to make a bunch of drinking buddy friends.

We were pleasantly surprised by this campground. We are definitely coming back. Just there were a lot of mosquitos after dark.

A beautiful location to camp, very easy access to a large, sandy stretch of beach. Feels like a small-scale Lake McConaughey - it's like being at an ocean beach. The non-electric sites are hidden under a nice canopy of cottonwood trees for shade. The toilets were clean and there were plenty of hiking trails nearby. The only downside is that the non-electric sites are pretty close together, so if you need peace and quiet you may not find it here. That's how state park campgrounds are during summer, though. This is a great state park - one of the best that I've been to. There is a ton of recreation to be had and the scenery is beautiful.

We had a great extended weekend after July 4. The campground is large and there are a variety of spaces including some down by the water with lots of trees and other group sites. Even the group sites though are less than a five minute walk to the water. We had a group site for four families including three trailers and a tent. It was perfect. There was even firewood waiting for us when we got there and the fire pit had been cleaned out.
