Really great to have a little campground in this park in town. We came for our son's baseball tournament and you can't beat the price for water and electric for a couple nights. I wish all towns had this. Didn't use the restrooms so can't speak to them.

The first night is free, and then it's 20 a night after that. They have electricity, water, and a dump station. The bathrooms are not clean, and the shower is not great, but it works. The water turns on for about 10 seconds after a button press. They do have soap in the bathroom, and WiFi but it's not great Wi-Fi.

There are two RV campgrounds, one on the east side the entrance, and the west side with baseball field in the middle. The restrooms are on the west side with dump station also, and an electric vehicle charging station. Two WiFi to connect to, both seem fast to me. It's free only one (1) night not two, for $20 a night it's a deal. Tent can only be put up between both RV sites, DO NOT pitch it under the nice shaded trees behind the west side RVs. No tent's allowed under their nice cool shaded trees.

Traveling for work and needed a place to stay cheaply and decide to do some car camping at this park. Not too crowded and the Santa Fe park next door was really nice. Everyone minds their business so it really nice area to set up for the night.

Thank you Chanute for providing free electricity and water for an overnight rest. We pulled into the pull through spot but soon noticed we would have traffic noise so we moved to the back in spots. Perfect. The spot was level. We were across from the bathhouse. All was well and we greatly appreciate your hospitality.

Nice, Peaceful. The people watched other peoples rigs while we're away. I enjoyed it.

This campground provides water and 30/50 amp service with a dumpstation for two days FREE of charge. For that reason alone I'm giving this place five stars. Also, you get free WiFi provided by the city ("City Wireless" is the name). There are bathrooms across from sites 1-10. There is also a power station for electric cars. Water is turned off from November 1 through April 1. Tent camping is allowed here and the sign states to camp in designated tent area, but there is nothing to indicate where the tent camping is allowed. I suspect the city doesn't really care as long as your tent is in a reasonable area. Trash cans are placed beside every other campsite, so you never have to walk more than a few feet to empty your trash cans. After two free days the rate is $10/nightly. This is our fourth trip to this place over the last eight years. I've never been dissapointed. This is a no frills campground which suits us fine for a stopover. There are no fire pits, picnic tables (except the one on the backside of the baseball diamon). The sites are double wide so you can park your vehicle right beside your camper. This gives you some separation from your neighbors as well. Sixteen sites at the intersection. All are pull through. On the other side of the baseball diamond there are eight back in sites and two more sites that are parallel sites (sites 9 and 10). There is a covered picnic table in this section. Yes, you are located right beside a busy highway, but traffic noise has never bothered us. If a car or two wakes you up at night think: FREE, then go back to sleep. If street sounds are a problem I would suggest parking in the back area across from the baseball diamon. This will be put you away from the main street. LOCATION: The Geo Coordinates are: 37.646287,-95.453132 The two street intersections are 190th road and South Santa Fe Avenue. The dumpstation is located opposite the main camping area across from the baseball diamond (See red mark on picture map I've included). The sign (see picture) states that each power pedestal has a maximum power of 30 amps, but there is a 50 amp connector available, and I know from reading my panel that I was pulling more than 30 amps without tripping a breaker. I'm not sure what that is about. But you do have 50 amp service regardless of what that sign states.

Nice basic campground for a few days. Level asphalt site. 8 back in, 15 or so pull through, 50 amp and water and sewer dump. Nice park and dog yard near by.
