It’s a beautiful spot at a small campground, although close to the road. The problems for me started at about 10:30 at night. We were bedded down for the night when a number of vehicles were on site. They looked official but was hard to see what was going on. Lots of flashing lights, loud idling engines and some guy running around on the road. Finally they left after about 30 minutes of noise and lights . Then a group started blasting music and running around the campground with their dogs. No sleep was had and to top it all off, someone revved up their generator at 6 am. I don’t think it was the camp hosts, could have been the next site over. Watch out for all of the sharp cacti. Got out of there asap

Beautiful location and great price. Small campground first come first serve. It's primitive camping. Vault toilets available but no showers or electric hookups. I stayed in #7 which is right next to the creek with an awesome view. Highly recommended.

Lovely camping experience. Toilets and trash available. Fairly quiet. First come first serve $20 per sight. Caretaker was nice as well.

A beautiful & quiet stay. First come first serve or use reaction.gov. If you download the app ahead, you will be fine, apon arrival when you scan the code at the check in. Or pay with cash at the entrance station. This fills up fast, I would recommend using the app for peace of mind. There is only 13 sites half on the river/stream. We pulled in mid day on Saturday and was able to get site 10. The camp host Brad was very helpful. Thank you Brad ! We explore the area, only staying one night. No hook ups, no showers, vault toilets.

Normally don’t stay at campgrounds, but this was a nice little place. Had a very quiet group of campers around me, with 15 spots I think including the camp host. Views are beautiful, and street noise was not to bad. Also has Jemez stream running right next to it, but didn’t see much for trout fishing this far down the river. Several vaulted toilets, and a place to get fresh water. Not bad for $10 a night, but first come first serve.

Can only give 4 stars because we did not utilize the facilities located around the grounds, however, they get 5-stars for everything. Views were gorgeous, spots were mostly level, and everyone obeyed the quiet hours. For the price, it is well worth it, but be warned, you need to get there early to secure a spot.

No water or electric or cell service, but it's gorgeous and relaxing to be hear the Jemez River at night.

Very clean and well taken care of. We had a spot right near the river and there were paved walkways down to the rivers edge. Bathroom was clean even though there was a sign that said they were not being routinely cleaned during the pandemic. Plan on returning whenever we can.

Wonderful campground! Great water and the vault toilets were left open for ventilation due to covid which we appreciated. Everyone was great about social distancing and the host was always careful to wear a mask. There were sites with covered picnic tables and sites without, most sites had at least small trees for shade. Wonderful fishing access along the river as well. My only complaint was the loud generators some of the RVs had. Update: we loved it so much we went back again! We got an even better spot! Such great access to so many hiking trails etc. No generators to disturb the peace the first 2 nights, but of course there was one the last night. Other than the loud generators and the occasional lack of toilet paper in the bathrooms it was perfect! We brought our own extra toilet paper and left it in the bathroom to share because at $10 a night that's the least we can do.

My first time camping in New Mexico and Vista Linda was a great start. Our site (site 13) had good shade and access to river. It was amazing sleeping to the sound of running water. I camped with another friend and our 4 year-old daughters and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Have stayed here multiple times. Most recent dates of stay: 7-8 Jan 2020. Nice small campground with 13 sites, two vault toilets (clean), two water spigots and trash/recycling bins. If coming here Nov-Jan, you pretty much have your choice of spots. The layout can accommodate most RV rigs, but I stayed in a small camper. The turn at the very end of the campground could be tight if in a very large rig. Jemez River parallels the campground on west side of campground, highway 4 parallels on east side. River proved excellent for rainbow trout (in winter months), not sure how the fishing is in summer months. When travelling north on highway 4, the campground will be shortly after the green and white Mile Marker 13 sign. $10 per site on FCFS basis. No day use facilities. All sites have pedestal charcoal grill and ground level fire pit. At least one table per site, some sites have shade structure.
