My Husband and I were passing thru on our way to Arizona and found the location to be perfect. We were greeted by Joe and he was great. We had heard that if paying with cash we would get a discount, Joe was not aware of this so we did not get a cash discount. Joe let us know that in order to get our propane tanks filled we would need to wait for Chris, the owner, and that he would be available at 8:00 am the next morning. My Husband went up the next morning where Chris drove by him in his cart and went into building and locked the door. My husband then called him and he did answer. He seemed irritated and put out that we needed propane and said that my husband only had a few minutes to get it filled then said he only took cash, when my husband returned with the cash he noticed Chris stand from chair and looked not well. It turns out that Chris was in some pain due to a medical issue. Later that day I had a brief encounter at the dog park with him and he was friendly enough and stopped and talked to my dogs, we wished each other a good day and went on our ways. You never know what someone is going thru and sometimes we may not treat others the best but does not make the person a bad person. Give Grace were grace is due and not always judge people right off the bat. Place was perfect for us and had a great view and would stay there again and hope to be able to try the restaurant then. Praying for Chris to be free of pain soon.

After reading the reviews..please take the time to read this review. One might think the owner, Chris could be difficult.. BUT quite the opposite. We had major problems with our rig (slides & jax) and Chris volunteered to help! After working with & talking to the Tiffin factory technician .. Chris was able to help them identify the part needed 🙏 …shipping overnight (This all happened during a busy travel day…Friday …And CeCe was manning the desk alone) He did not ask for compensation and noticed other issues which needed some attention on his part. If you cannot appreciate his direct approach to business and His sense of humor, that’s on YOU! Cece is efficient and personable as well ..while working the desk and delivering great food (BBQ & fish) and helping in maintenance (the bathrooms are clean). CeCe wears several hats. After a few days… of visiting with only overnight guests …one can evaluate an rv park that is well managed!! Chris & CeCe A perfect stop on your travels Thank you!! Burt & Peggy

The staff has been great! Very nice clean level sites. Nice and quiet. Pet friendly. The food was awesome and all we had to do was call and they delivered it to our site. Perfect place to spend the night on your road trip. We would definitely stay here again our next time through.

Great place to stay overnight! Sites are reasonably level so you won't need to do much adjusting. Chris checked us in. He has a great sense of humor! We arrived at about 5:30pm with a rain storm on the way. We were hungry and grateful they had onsite BBQ. We got the BBQ brisket and it was delicious. It was delivered to our site before the storm hit. Thanks Cee Cee for the speedy service!

We stopped here in our RV for an overnight stay on our way to Colorado. It was great! The bathroom/shower house was immaculate. The sites were level, and it had a dog park for my pup. Everything was spotless. We had a quiet, restful night so we woke rested and ready for the next leg of our trip. I highly recommend it!

Seems like it was probably a nice place a decade or so ago. It is showing its age now, though. None of the spots are particularly level. The pool and buildings have seen better days and do not count on using the wifi. Even standing under one of the towers, it is extremely slow, and you are better off using your cell service. The food was decent, and the lady who helped us was really great. Overall, it was decent for an overnight, I just expected a little more for a $46, 30 amp, partial hookup site.

Easy check-in, great site, walked our pooches in the dog park which has grass and nicely shaded. really great food at their restaurant. Excellent western barbecue-b-q! Heavenly peach cobbler! Jumped into the crisp pool and felt like I had gone back to a better time. Highly recommend. This was our 3rd time staying. Easy access from highway.

Still kind of dumbfounded and shocked what a nasty and unfriendly encounter we just had with a man who I think is named Chris. We arrived tired and super stressed after just driving through a horrific hail and tornado storm in North Texas, we were so excited and relieved to arrive at the park. I had called the park earlier because I wasn’t sure we’d make it by closing and was assured (by Chris) there were “many spaces” available and to “come in in” and that he will “come around.” We arrived, I checked the reserved spots on the board, grabbed the map and registration envelope and went to see what our choices were. Husband picked one and I immediately got out to go pay (I had paperwork in my hand) and this nasty, ill-tempered man rolled up on a golf cart and berated me for entering the park. This was after he earlier told me to “come on in” and that he will “come around.” He then told us we had to move our RV and that no dogs are allowed in the front section of the park which seems odd as the rules do not indicate that at all. Due to his rude, nasty and unwelcoming temperament we decided to leave and then he got even nastier and more rude, and continued to yell at us as we drove away, at this point I felt threatened by him. To put this in context - I am an attorney in my early 60s, my husband is a former probation officer. We are both mild mannered quiet people, neither myself nor husband would dream of raising our voices in public or causing any type of disruption. Chris however, well, just read the reviews - he regularly yells, threatens and tries to intimidate customers or would be customers of the park. If you disclose his nasty behavior in a review, he responds in an untruthful and defamatory manner (hopefully some other person will actually sue him for this however I actually feel kind of sorry for him as it seems like he is nice to some people). Draw your own conclusions. Maybe he has a Jekyll and Hyde personality, who knows, very sad.

The camp ground was easy to find, the night drop box was easy. The RV spots were a good size, had water, electric, and sewer hookups at each site. The was also a picnic table. We were close to the restrooms. The restrooms are older but very clean. Several people used the showers which had lots of hot water. The park is close enough to the highway to be convenient but the park was quiet. We didn’t do any leveling for our trailer. We are going to stay here again on our return trip! This is our 6th year at the campground. The staff there is very friendly and accommodating and the BBQ dinner was amazing as always! I definitely would recommend staying here! Real nice spot to stop. Great BBQ delivered to your site. Owner wants everyone to follow the rules, as it should be in all RV parks. Great guy and his crew. Will definitely stay there next time we travel west.

Great place to spend the night. I'm glad I found it. They have night check-in and I was able to stay without a reservation. Plenty of water and electric sites. Bathhouse isn't new but it is clean and the water stays in the shower rather than soaking everything in the dressing area. I would definitely stay here again.

Santa Rosa campground is a top notch facility here in Santa Rosa. In all honesty I have never stayed there myself being that I live here in Santa Rosa. A very dear friend of mine however did come down and spend a week here in our great City and was very well pleased with the services provided by Chris and all his staff there at the campground. I can also honestly say that Chris and his staff do more than just provide a place for people to pull into and park their RVs. They also look out for their customers by informing them of any possible problems with the vehicle that they happen to notice. This helps insure that they make it to their destination safely. Customer service like that is hard to find in many places today. I recommend Santa Rosa campground to anyone who is needing a place to pull their RV into. Chris and all of his staff will make sure you are well taken care of.

Interesting campgrounds. Owner is talkative and has a good sense of humor, but I suggest you follow the rules to stay on his good side. He seems like a no nonsense, down to earth, good guy interested in keeping the campgrounds orderly. They just added an off leash dog park, which is a nice addition. RV sites are reasonably priced. Place is clean.

We just left from this campground and it was a nice quiet stay:)). The man that runs it is very nice and friendly/helpful. We got settled in and our food we ordered from the on site restaurant was delivered to our door!! My husband got the ribs and brisket meal and it was excellent!! The bathrooms were clean. Definitely will stop again on the way back to Iowa. Posting a picture of the menu. We arrived on a Sunday so the quotations on there is their Sunday only meals. Going to make sure we get there on a different day to try more of their yummy food!!
