Santee / Santee Lakes KOA Journey

Welcome to the Santee / Santee Lakes KOA!

Relaxation awaits you at this new KOA with more than 120 Pull-Thru RV Sites, shaded by oaks draped in Spanish moss, tall pines and tropical palmettos. Wander down to the campground's scenic lakefront along the north shore of Lake Marion (the largest lake in South Carolina), where you can settle in for a picturesque sunset. Visit with other campers at the inviting pool or community fire pit, or simply enjoy a game of cornhole or carpet golf. Your pet will enjoy exercising at Kamp K9! The campground sits about 100 miles from both the North Carolina and Georgia state lines, with quick and easy access off I-95. It's just a few minutes' drive to restaurants, shops and several championship golf courses. Historic Charleston, only an hour away, has distinctive architecture, Civil War sites and delicious restaurants. Due to the rural nature of our location, there is not a cable provider in the area, therefore, we are unable to provide cable to our campers.  We do provide WiFi.  Pool: Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend. Max pull thru: 85 feet.  Please call for reservations for sites over 65 feet.

Excellent. Quick one night stop because it was on our way but it is really nice, clean, and well organized. Lots of activities by the lake if you bring kids. Beautiful sunsets don't hurt! We will be back.

All and all an awesome place with good staff. Only complaint I can find is the second day we we were there our neighbors had an annoying kid who kept coming to our campsite. Not the koa fault just killed my experience. But the lake the pool the put put the bathrooms and showers were excellent. Came out this year and no pool yet it's 80 degrees when are they planning on opening the pool?

It's a clean and well organized campground. We pull a very big rig and had no problems getting in or out. The shower/bathrooms were older but clean as well. The campground is right against a very pretty lake (lake Marion) and our site had a beautiful view. There is a playground for The kids, a fishing dock, boat ramp, Beach area and pizza delivery right to your door. Almost all the sites we saw were pull through. Some sites only have electric and water but many are full hookup. The only slight negatives are that there is nothing but dirt sites (that we saw), our site was far from level, and the dump station is on an offset loop not on the way to the exit.

What a jewel. We only stayed one night but will go back for another visit. Facilities was well kept and the staff was so friendly and inviting. After a long day on the road it was nice to have a pizza from the onsite store delivered to our campsite by the time we were done setting up. The lake is beautiful with a nice beach area. We will be staying longer next time.

My wife and I spent one night here out of necessity but would definitely return to actually visit and relax. It’s right on the Santee lake and even though we didn’t have a lakefront site we could still easily see it from ours. We didn’t get to just walk around and check things out but the staff were very friendly. I did use their restroom and it was clean. We did like how there were many birds active and chirping, there were some squirrels, we love all the critters. It’s right off I-95, getting to it is simple. It can be a little tight in some spots but anything should be able to get through where your rig will fit. Our site did require a good bit of leveling. Plenty of water pressure, will definitely want a pressure regulator. They serve Hunt Brothers pizza from the office. You can call and place an order, they’ll charge it to your card on file if you’d like, they’ll even deliver it to your site. And the pizza was phenomenal!! Overall we were pleased and would be happy to visit again.
