Very nice sites for travellers. Proximity to the hotel is nice. Good facilities. Need to fix the washers and dryers.

The park was easy to find. It is located just off of highway 9 beside the Canalta Hotel. There is pavement all the way until you arrive at the park. Signage is adequate. Check in “at the hotel” was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. The park is close to the highway but we were not bothered by any traffic noise. Highway 9 is not a busy roadway. Our site, 10, was a pull through that was long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp and water only) were to the left side. Distancing is close for a rural park. Oyen is not a large metropolis. All sites had a grass island between sites and a few trees. Each site has a table but no fire pit or patio. Our site was a flat, even bed of gravel. Overall the park was not bad for early in the season. The included wifi internet worked fairly well with no log in password required. We did not find OTA TV. Satellite might be difficult because of the trees if you don’t have a portable dish. We did not use the washrooms or showers. There is a small store at the COOP service station within easy walking distance. We paid $39.90 inc tax per night and we feel we received fair value. We would be back if in the area again. This is a decent overnighter.

This camp spot was full up with workers. They put us at the very end with no shelter and a lot o road noise. There was generators going all night, very hard to sleep. The bathroom and showers were at the other end and you had to pay to use the showers. The power, water and sewer were right next to each other, which does not work for our camper, as the sewer is in the middle of the camper and does not reach. We had to dump in the morning. The staff at the hotel were friendly, and put us probably where they were told to.

Campground itself is decent, but water tastes weird and it’s brown when you just turn it on. I would not drink water from this campground. I asked for water from A&W nearby.

Showers cost a buck but were clean with hot water. More mature trees than I was expecting and sites are more spacious than some. Access is good for most any driver so no fears there. Overall a good spot and good value.
