FHU campground on a beatiful little lake. I read online that it is First come First serve (not correct). You have to reserve online at recreation.gov, which is hard to do with barely any data coverage(verizon). The camp host WILL come check that you registered. Bathrooms need a good cleaning, no soap/dispenser to wash hands.

Our home away from home. It's very peaceful, and the boating is great. Very dog friendly and close to one of the swim beaches.

We arrived during wind and rain. I had been warned the site I had #66 would be submerged in water, so the gracious Host and I discussed it right away. I went to the reservation website, we rode around until we found one available for our week - that was on higher ground, #16. I changed the reservation and it was great. The weather cleared! The sewer hookup is a very long way from the camper, would need 4 hoses. The pad is level, but crumbling some. Had to take care of the ants. The bathhouse is fine, if you don't mind cobwebs. Nice people all around. I'm glad we chose this campground.

The campground itself is beautiful, quit and the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. Only the bathhouse next to us deserves a better cleaning service.

Nice and quiet with lots of open sites. We reserved site 71. Camp host came and greeted us on arrival with helpful directions to the site. Full hook up with 50 amp service for $24 a night. The kids enjoyed the playground and the sunsets over the water were amazing. Minimal lighting in the campground gave great views of the night sky. Not far away is the small town of Batesville MS where you can find most anything you might need. Oak Grove is a really nice place to stop for a week or so in December if you are looking for a less crowded full hook up site.

really nice clean well managed camp grounds, only reason i haven't put 5 stars is I like the deep forest camping sites.

Oak Grove campground is my favorite place to tent camp. The park is well maintained and clean. There is a playground for the kids, swimming areas, a pier to fish from or just sit and enjoy the view. Each camp site has a fire pit, grill and picnic table. Bath house has hot water. Boaters can put in on the lower or upper lake.

This is a beautiful, quiet camping ground gem. Very close to the dam spillway. Fishing opportunities all around! Also sandstone trail is close by if you enjoy nature walks.

Site #65. The good, it's by the water with nice views, and boat launch. The bad, it's by the boat launch... If you don't mind boats keeping you from sleeping late at night, or early in the morning, then this is your spot. It rained enough last night that it's obvious this is a good spot if you don't care if your seating area is flooded. Not sure why our camp spot wasn't cleaned before we arrived. The picnic table was particularly dirty. The best was the thick layer of cooking grease left by someone slathered on the table top. Price is good for what you get, that's about it. The septic lines are mounted high if your space has one. You'll need something to slope the line. The campground hosts were very nice. Very few OATV channels. 1-2 acceptable Verizon bars.
