It's pretty convenient that when someone gives you a 1 star you have no record of them staying there.

We spent 4 days at the park. Rented the house boats. They were great but I caution families with young children. The water off the dock is quite deep and toddlers or kids who aren’t strong swimmers could easily fall in. Amenities in the boats were nice, if not a bit dated. Everything is propane but workable. You are not allowed to flush toilet paper but must put it in the waste basket provided…..gross. I’ve stayed on several house boats in my life and have never seen this before. They pump the tanks twice a week….this shouldn’t be an issues. The fishing pond is great. We caught some small mouth, pumpkin seeds and even saw some larger catfish swimming around. The grounds are immaculate. However, I think they could get by with less mowings and maintenance by not charging for some things. The wifi package is a joke, we paid $30 for 5 days but could not access unless In very specific parts of the park…make that free. Tubing on the river was the highlight and I would go back for just this experience. A small drive away and we were tubing on the river for 45 minutes back to the park. It was a lot of fun. All of the staff were great, Brendan and Sara were awesome and answered any questions we had. A few recommendations if the owners read this. Please do something with the “beach” by the river. It’s not a beach at all and was very disappointing. Also, the owner could brush up on her customer service skills, she made my wife and children very uncomfortable with an interaction at the store. All in all a good experience and I would go back.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying here for three nights in the Ash Cabin. The cabin was perfect for us a family of four and our dog. The cabin was on a private dead end road was quiet and very well kept with a view of the catch and release fish pond. We had a blast tubing in the river and highly recommend visiting the chicken coop while you are here the kids loved it. Our next visit we might check out the new house boat additions (2) that the owner Catherine just added they look amazing. They are stationary in the pond area for a whole different overnight experience. Thank you Catherine and staff for a wonderful experience we will see you again.

We just had an amazing 3 nights at Saugeen springs celebrating Father's Day with our friends. This was my family's first time there and we already can't wait to go back!! Our friends go every year and I can definitely see why! Both our site and our friends site were beautiful. Our site (F3) was HUGE and very well maintained. Our friends had a waterfront site which was perfect for sitting in the river and relaxing. We did a long float down the river on Father's day and it was such a blast!!! We will definitely be returning next year ☺️
