Absolutely amazing campground. Will definitely be back! Beautiful bathrooms, pool and scenery. We stayed for 5 nights, bugs were bad but that's normal for camping. Campground is very close to Great Escape so it made it perfect for our trip. The employees are always nice, they have laundry area which we used and our last day it was raining pretty hard so we went to the fun zone and really enjoyed having a dry spot for the kids to come watch movies, play games out of the rain! They also have a crystal clear pool and amazing playground for the kids. Hope to come back soon!

Schroon River Escape was a lifesaver on a recent trip. We had a mechanical issue in Troy, and by the time the mobile mechanic had finished we would not have made it safely to our planned camping location. I was searching for an alternative site in the area and found Schroon River Escape. They had a perfect space available (full hookup/50A) and he stayed available late to greet us and lead us to our site. Beautiful and quiet, sitting above the Schroon river in amongst tall pines. The sites are nicely spaced, not overcrowded as so many RV campgrounds tend to be. Harry helped up turn our lemons into lemonade! Best RV park we've been to; they are definitely on our "return to visit again" list!

We stayed here for 2 nights and couldn't have been more pleased. This was a "find" after a disappointing state park experience. Harry (on-site manager) was really helpful and assigned us a spot in the lower section right on the river. It was a wide spot (#113) that allowed us to position our 30' motorhome sideways to the river. Water and electric at every site though we had to use our extensions due to the width of this particular site. The campground was completely updated with new bath houses and electricity/water to all the sites. Tucked away in the middle of the adirondacks this camp was perfect for us. They have tubes available for tubing on the river but we weren't there for that. "Thank you" Harry.

Had an amazing time at Schroon River Escape! The property manager, Harry, is the best of the best! Super friendly, accommodating, and he really does a great job of making everyone feel welcome and well informed about their stay! The facilities and restrooms were the cleanest I’ve ever seen at a campground, along with hot water and great water pressure! Super peaceful and relaxing spot. I can’t wait to go back!

Beautifully maintained campground and sites. Updated and incredibly clean restrooms with spacious showers (that have good water pressure). The owner is friendly and very hands-on, ensuring everyone is having an enjoyable and safe stay. Kids had a blast swimming and fishing right from our site on the river. Grocery store is only a 10 minute drive.
