A nice place for a morning walk. Especially after season. A beautiful estuary environment exists a short distance south. Not a swimming beach, cold water, rocky shore and very crowded in season, but bliss when everyone goes home!

This is a very clean and beautiful beach. I didn't see too much sea glass, but there are many shells and sparkly rocks.

Wonderful beach, clean Spacious rest rooms. Concessions and they sell ice. Parking is $14. Pay by card at gate. Get there early if you want parking and a decently close beach spot. Beach is Long, there is a sandy path that runs across the top of the beach area, should you need to walk far to secure a good Beach site. Go early , place gets crowded.

Beautiful beach! My favorite because the water is always calm and clear, the bugs are ridiculous so bring bug spray. I even saw a tick on my towel. I was sitting closer up to the dunes so maybe that’s why. Great for kids and spacious. Parking is $14.00 and plenty. Concession stand and change room. Again….. the bugs!! lol! Flies bit me too.

When, I arrived they were doing the walk for Alzheimer's but the event was well organized and didn't effect my arrival at the beach. There was more than plenty of parking for beach goers, and the beach is long so everyone wasn't stuck together and could spread out. I walked the long rocky path (very dangerous) Over to the "light house" and when I go to just over the end of the rocky path.. I saw my first real seal sunbathing! Such a cool experience! Especially being right on the edge of Cape Cod Canal. I highly recommend visiting this place or cape cod in general! Definitely a 5 start experience!

Scusset is a great beach for those who want to visit a beach, fish, bike, run or walk along the shore or the Cape Cod Canal without having to sit in traffic or cross the bridges and go Cape-side. If you're lucky, you might see a whale swimming through the canal like we did. There is a lot of parking. The facilities are clean and staffed. There are picnic tables, benches and an overlook where one can fish (be sure to have a MA fishing license). There is a spot to camp with RVs. There are walking, biking and hiking trails. We visited during April school vacation which is before the "On" season that traditionally starts on Memorial Day weekend. It was not crowded but during the On season (May - Aug) the parking lots can fill up quickly and the beach can get crowded.

Very nice quiet beach. Low waves and great for kids. A Long Beach so you can have privacy. Sandy grassy dunes. Some shells to hunt. The canal is accessible from this parking lot and you can bike the cape cod canal from here.

My wife and I agree that this is the best state park in the Massachusetts DCR but also that it is up there in the state parks / reservations for the New England region. It is so clean, has prime location on the canal and gives campers and visitors alike access to a stellar beach with clear water. The campground is well maintained, has wide spots, and is inhabited by quiet and considerate campers. The visitor / nature center is a great resource for little explorers and my son loved seeing it. Clean facilities and plenty of trash and recycling around the grounds. We’ll be back again!

Clean. Pet & Family oriented. Beach was crystal clear. Many activities to do at beach and on campsite (no full hook up). Free hot shower/bathroom with warm shower/ rinse off outside of shower. Our favorite place to go yearly! Beautiful sunset. Campsite book fast!
