Closed forever It's a great campground. It is centrally located, good staff, great guests, grounds are well maintained. Many of these reviews cancel each other out. One person complains they can't drive over the grass the next complains about the mud caused by the person driving on the grass. One person complains because their rv is too old the other complains because they think other person's rv looks "like a homeless person's". Then you get the people who are obviously bending the truth and presenting only one side of a story because they don't like following rules or they are trying to get away with paying a lower price or get something for free.

We stayed here a few nights in order to visit with some friends in Seattle. The campground is right off of a fairly busy 2-lane road. As soon as you turn into the campground, turn right to go to the office and stay right to park in the check-in lane. We stayed in site 4, a pull-through site on the end of a row near the office: we picked that one because it looked like it was easy to get into, and it was. But while the site was easily long enough to fit our 37-foot fifth wheel, it was not long enough to also park our 20-foot long truck. We could maybe have parked it sideways across the front of the site (which a lot of other folks opted to do), but we felt it was safer to park the truck in the parking lot by the office. While the parking lot is fairly large, there were usually only one or two free spaces at any given time. And while we had no trouble getting into our site, we could have had trouble leaving the site: because of the size of the site and the proximity of the next site, we would not have been able to pull forward and turn out of the site without hitting something, not with a trailer of our length. Even though our neighbor did leave before us, we opted to keep it simple and back out of the site. So the sizes of the sites give the campground a cramped feeling. The only areas that feel open are the back end of the campground where a fence marks the boundary between the park and a wetlands area, and the recreation area behind the office. The recreation area has a playground and some games (like the oversized chess board), and a theatre area where they show a movie on a projector screen most nights (they were showing “Top Gun” on the night we arrived). The office is fairly typical for a KOA and had a store with souvenir items, RV equipment, and some convenience store areas. We were able to walk our dogs along the outskirts of the campground and we occasionally took them to the fenced-in dog park, which has two entrance gates (non-airlock style) within a dozen feet of each other: it made me think that maybe it used to be two separate dogs parks at some point. In terms of cell service, the best speed I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna during our stay was about 80Mbps down and 20Mbps up, and other than the occasional buffering we had no trouble steaming video while we were there. The one speed test I did with my AT&T phone showed 94Mbps down and 24 up. The recreation area and the floral landscaping shows that they’re trying to make the best of what they have to work with, but they really need to focus on improving the interior roads and give campers the space to safely enter and exit the sites.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS PARK WILL BE PERMANENTLY CLOSING ON 10/31/2021 - Too bad... It appears that the land is more valuable as a warehouse and parking lot than a family friendly campground It's a good enough place for a few nights to do business in the Kent area. Staff is super friendly, some of the spots are a bit run down and no longer level, but I certainly understand that they don't want to put any more money into the place for 6 more weeks...

Let me make this perfectly clear, you don't wanna go here.. The list of reasons why not is extremely lengthy and if you really want to know the answer of what they are try and spend a night here and you'll be telling people the same thing I'm telling you, you don't want to go here. Small spaces and I really mean small. Holes in the road that haven't been fixed for a year. Next to a main road which starts getting noisy around 5:30AM. This place is selling so they are letting it fall apart, because they have their money coming already. Ya , "Go KOA"

Really fun experience. Cute campground with older, but usable playground and pool. Nice set up for a movie at night (Aladdin) with popcorn. Close bathroom that was very clean. Note: there was a manure smell that was off-putting. I don't think the business can control it. There is a large field nearby. If you're sensitive to smells, rethinking booking, maybe.

We stayed here for 2 weekends in July. Even though they were completely full and super busy, Karen, the manager, still found room for us. We were right next to the office so interacted with many of the staff members. Everyone was super accommodating, helpful, and nice. The vibe at this KOA is friendly and fun. There was an outside movie every night which our daughter really enjoyed. If we are ever in Seattle with our camper again, we will definitely be back! Thank you for a great stay!

We read the poor reviews and were not expecting much, but we were really pleasantly surprised. To all those people out there leaving nasty comments, for your information, KOA is an economy family campground. You get what you pay for. And in this case, so much more. Nightly outdoor movies, 25¢ popcorn, $5 kids bike rentals, and endless gorgeous, perfectly manicured gardens. Yes, you’ll be packed in like sardines. Yes it’s on a busy loud street. That is exactly what to expect from a campground in the city, or a KOA. KOA is not a national park. Nor is it a $150 per night hotel. It’s a great deal, particularly for families with children. Your kids will be endlessly entertained, with a playground, pool, Bounce House, life-size chessboard, sand toys, trikes, four wheelers, movies, popcorn, the list goes on and on. Also be forewarned, not every site is a full hook-up for campers. Some sites have electric and water but not sewer hook-up, although they do have a dumpsite at the campground. Some sites do have full hook-up, some are 30 amp, and some are 50 amp. Bring a converter. The whole campground has a feel of being in another country. It reminds me of European campgrounds, particularly in Greece. Yes there are full-time residence; construction workers, and employees of the Amazon warehouse across the street. There are also tents in the courtyard. For anyone who has camped abroad, this will be nostalgic lovely memories. The gardens are particularly mind blowing. Obviously a labor of love. If any of this is a turn off for you, please, by all means, go stay at a hotel.

Employees are nice here. You can tell the park is a bit older but the kids still loved it. There were a bunch of kids that all played together well and the playground was in the middle of the campground ⛺️ we swam in the ice cold ❄️ pool but kids didn’t care had a campfire 🔥 and just hung out. Spaces are a bit tight and there are some older rv’s there not sure what the situation was with them but it’s all justified with the price for a Memorial Day weekend it was not bad at all.... the off-road bikes were a hit

This is a very run down KOA in need of some serious love. There seems to be quite a few full timers that live in the RV park which in and of itself is not an issue. The issue is the appearance of a lot of the RVs of those full timers. Probably a good quarter of the park is filled with extremely run down RVs with a lot of "stuff" stacked around the outside and in. One RV we went by the front windshield was completely stacked full of boxes and bags. Some RVs are missing windows and plywood has been used to cover the window. One RV had a four wheeler sitting out front, another had a dirt bike chained to the hitch. I say all this for a few reasons. 1) it's a KOA and I expect a lot better from a KOA. If I wanted to stay on a more run down park I would have picked a park without the KOA name and 2) we we're asked to take down our dog fence because it was "corporate policy". We know darn good and well that it's not a corporate policy because we stay at KOAs all the time. They never gave us a reason as to why we had to take it down other than it was their policy. Our argument was look around the park...there are some really rundown RVs with junk stacked around them...and we can't keep our dog fence up around our 2018 Class A? We ended up shortening our stay and left two days early. The roads around the park are in desperate need of repair as they are all filled with some pretty large potholes. We didn't use any of the other facilities so I can't comment on those. The dog run area was nice and we used that a few times a day everyday. My only complaint there were the other people who didn't pick up after their pets. The staff is very friendly and they were kind enough to refund the portion of the trip we cut short. The location is great and convenient to everything but don't come with the idea that this is a typical KOA that you are used to. Sites are very small and the "premium" back in site we had was awkwardly shaped. Our door opened into the mulch bed and there was no way to move the RV to prevent that from happening. Overall it was a disappointing stay and if we come back to the area we will look for other options or just skip the area all together. I added pictures of what some of the rundown RVs looked like as we drove around as well as a massive outdoor kitchen that a person had set up under a tent as well as a picture of our RV with the fence for comparison purposes.

Horrible conditions, there is dog poop everywhere, the sewer connections are right next to the picnic tables, there is hardly any spaces between the sites. Packed to the max. There are people who live there and the place is deplorable. The roads are full of potholes, as slow as my husband tried to go, my stuff still flew everywhere. They get one star for the receptionist who was very nice.

Price-gouging may not be illegal in Washington state but it is unethical and its shameful that KOA, a company that promotes family camping would put there name behind such immoral and boarding illegal business practices. Because this is the kind of business KOA condones, I will never visit a KOA again. See other reviews that report the managers charge them more than quoted. I spent 20 minutes on the phone making a reservation for a month long stay so I could help my aunt after she got home from the hospital. I was quoted $850 with a $200 deposit for power. I paid a deposit to secure my reservation and made my trip up from LA. When I arrived the manager on duty proceeded to tell me that monthly rates only run from the 1st to the 1st. My reservation was for Oct 11th to Nov 11th. The manager proceeded to tell me that I would need to pay $65 dollars a night for the remaining days in October and then I could pay the monthly rate on Nov 1st. I tried explaining that I don’t want to live there I am just camping for 30 days and I will not pay more than I was quoted and put a deposit down on. She told me “Your not staying here then” I asked her where should I go after driving all the way from LA and making my reservation several weeks in advance because a lot of parks were filling up. She told me she didn’t care and it wasn’t her problem. I reported these immoral and dishonest business practices to KOA and they told me they don’t care because that park is ran by some affiliate company. Ok, KOA I will make sure every RV’er I meet knows how dishonest KOA is. I also reported these immoral business practices to the Attorney General which is going to investigate the company for price gouging. I hope they shut you down. Run away from this trailer park, do not stay here. Go down the road to the Puyallup Fairgrounds where Amy is more than happy to help you have a pleasant camping experience at a reasonable rate.

This place is one giant mud puddle. The laundry room is mediocre and not all that clean. I had to trudge back and forth to do laundry. Ended up buying a pair of rubber boots just for laundry. Also for walking to the car. The spots are so tightly packed, the grounds unkempt, that I almost twisted an ankle wearing heels. There are no lights after dark. The staff are rude and got our reservation mixed up. No apologies which made it worse. A good RV park should have decent slots for parking and hooking up, and take care of the roads. This place has priorities backwards

5.0 star rating I have stayed at a few other RV sites in the past, but I must say the Seattle/Kent KOA is by far the best. The facilities are clean and the staff is friendly. I have had no issues at all and the other fellow RV'rs and campers have been both helpful and polite. The grounds are kept up even with the wet weather and trees shedding their leaves. The pull thru spots are level and a bit wider than some I have stayed at in the past. There is a dog walk area, playground area and everything is kept up nicely. Now there are no gold doorknobs or silver lined walkways here, but what they do offer is a close proximity to Seattle, sporting events, the Unlimited Hydroplane Museum, I-5 and SR-167 which both can take you to see all the wonderful sites that this nothwest area has to offer. So if you are looking for a pampering, keep on looking because it doesn't exist, but if you want a great place to stay whether in a 5th wheel, camper or RV make sure you stay here. Good job, I'm a "happy camper"!

We've stayed at KOA in Kent. We typically avoid KOA parks since they are rarely worth the price. This one was great though since it had a bus pickup that takes you into downtown Seattle. It was less than a year ago and yes..it's overpriced but location is great! We also liked the breakfasts and ice cream socials. We've been to 40 states in the last year and this is the only koa we would stay at again.
