I like it. Full hook ups on most sites. Tent camping area. Bath house and water front. No boat launch but plenty of places to fish on property. A quick bike ride to downtown. Well maintained grounds. Nonproblem coming back here. See our YouTube channel Coolest Life for full video.

Small sites. Not much shade, but all sites have full hook up, water and dump! There's a bath house with one shower. And several toilets. Site 7

Camping Sunday and Monday. Park to myself after noon on Sunday. All day and evening and then no commotion tearing down Monday.

We camped here in the rustic tent area and it was perfect! Plenty of space and its right by the water. Spot #60 is the best spot! Bathrooms are a close walk and arent bad. Trails are nice. Will be back!

I had a good experience. There is indoor bathrooms with 2 showers so that is nice. And they do sell firewood so that's convenient. Rustic, tent camping is kind of a big field split into strips so not much privacy. There was a big storm which caused a bit of flooding in the rustic sites. There was a nice walking trail by the river. All the rain caused lots of frogs to come out of the ponds, so it was fun trying to catch them.

We had a bad experience here with a park employee. My wife and I had picked up a carryout in Sebewaing and thought we would check out this campground and have lunch. We don't get out much since COVID, but wanted to go for a drive along the water and check out some of the parks. In the past we stayed at some of the other Huron County Campgrounds, and most of them are very nice. We drove through this campground but couldn't find any picnic tables that weren't part of a camp site, so we were going to try to find a spot along the river. When we got to the end of the campground drive, there was a county truck parked there, blocking the road. The driver got out of the truck and told us we had to turn around and go the other way, it was a one-way road. We were less than 20 feet from the exit, but he made us drive all the way back around through the campground. He didn't have to be that way. It was early Monday afternoon and there were very few people in the campground. On the drive back, driving all the way around the campground, we didn't see any signs indicating that the roads were one-way, until the very beginning, one-way in and one-way out. Hopefully somebody in authority can speak with this young man about being nice to folks. If he doesn't like his job, or dealing with people, he should find something else to do.

I come here for the trails. The park is nestled against the Saginaw Bay in an often overlooked corner of Sebewaing. The Senior Meal site sits behind the RV area and gets most of the traffic. There is a small wood with a few rather rough trails winding through it, along a river offshoot. The best trail is along the Sebewaing River itself -- it follows the river far out into the bay. This is a good 3/4 mile hike from walking bridge. The trail gets narrower until it turns into muddy ground and phragmites -- during winter going father is possible. Spectacular views await at the end.

I have been to most of the Huron Country Parks and enjoy them all our favorite is Light House Park. What makes this Park so nice is that there not a lot of people at any one time. If this was a very busy Park I think it would be a little uncomfortable. We were there for the 4th of July holiday and it was nice. People were friendly and helpful and the park was clean. Not have a boat ramp was a bummer but the marina just on the other side of the river was convenient. The bathrooms are in need of a size upgrade as two showers and two toilets will not be able to serve this Park if it becomes more popular. Overall they were clear enough and served the purpose. Looking forward to getting back and enjoying the great Saginaw Bay.
