Stayed at group site A with about thirty friends and it was an almost perfect experience. First of all camp host was great, super nice and helpful with tips about where to go nearby to take a dip in a stream.Bathrooms were some of the cleanest and best smelling pit toilets I’ve ever seen. Still kind of gross, but incredibly clean. Here is what you need to know…bring a wagon! You have to park in a communal parking lot and hike your gear down about 50yards. Not fun, but the grounds are great, and there is a beautiful meadow right next to the grounds. Try to carpool, the lot can fill up.

I can’t say enough great things about this place! We just got back home from our camping trip today and I miss it already! This is our second time visiting quaking aspen and this time we rented yurt 28 for a couple of days and it was amazing! Cane with a bunk bed, twin on top full on bottom and a futon that pulls out into a full bed as well! Campsite was clean and shady! The camp host Tim was very welcoming and made our trip a lot better! He gave us directions to the trail of 100 giants. A beautiful tourist attraction with many large beautiful trees! He also said hello to us and other campers as he drove by every day and made sure everyone was good. He constantly made his rounds and takes very good care of the bathrooms and the rest of the camp grounds. We will definitely be coming here every summer!

We agree with everyone else, Tim is amazing! He has all the info on nearby trails, maps of the area, answers every question you can think of. Just fantastic. As of 6/22/25: -potable water available -vault toilets are well maintained -no food lockers, but also no in-camp bear incidents/sightings in the last few years, per Tim. So we made sure our food was locked in our cars whenever we weren't using it. -If you want cell service briefly, there is a spot about 3.5 miles away off 21S70 as if you're headed to Dome rock. -site #19 had at least 3 relatively flat spots for tents and was nice and spacious. -Firewood is available at camp, at the nearby Camp Nelson general store, and if you're passing through Springville, Gifford's has some. This campground is so peaceful, and near several hiking trails. Would 100% come back here again.

Wind. Cold, very cold wind. Dropped below 32 at night after a full day of debilitating winds. Otherwise, nice setting. Vault toilets were surprisingly not bad. Long walk from group site A to get water and use bathrooms. Not a whole lot of hiking trails, 2 or so from the campground. Camp host was really awesome and helpful.

Great campground for families or groups of friends. They have campsites and yurts available for booking. Check my YouTube out @keychainproduction for a full video review. Vault restrooms are available. No cell service. Each campground comes with a bear box and fire ring. Dome rock is nearby and a short but slightly steep hike but you get awesome views of the Sequoia at the top of the rock.

We will definitely be returning! This campground was great, beautiful scenery, nice sites, clean bathrooms and plenty to do around the area. Another added bonus was our host, he is very knowledgeable of the area and very friendly. He helped us with our itinerary every morning and stopped by to see how our day was in the afternoon. He does a lot of good work keeping this campground as nice as it is. *Tip: There is no gas about 40min each way from this campground, so plan accordingly or bring extra!

I stayed here with a small group of friends in early October 2024 and had a great experience. Tim, our camp host, made us feel welcome right upon arrival. He's great at sharing information about the area and the campsite, and does a great job of creating a safe, fun, and relaxing atmosphere for everyone. It was dry season during the time we stayed at the site so there were literally no mosquitoes whatsoever! (PS. Be sure to get a free fire permit online ahead of time!)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Quaking Aspen Campground, and I can't say enough about how impressed I was with the experience. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this campsite is exceptionally well maintained. The grounds were immaculate, with clean facilities and well-groomed areas that made for a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. What truly stood out, however, was our camp host, Tim. He went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. His friendliness and willingness to help with anything we needed made a significant difference. Whether it was providing tips on local trails or ensuring our campsite was set up perfectly, Tim was always available and eager to assist. Overall, Quaking Aspen Campground offers a fantastic camping experience, thanks to its pristine condition and the outstanding hospitality of Tim. I highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-kept getaway in nature!

This campground is stunning. We were greeted by Tim who was an exceptional Host. There is Luscious greenery with ample space between spots to allow for privacy, while keeping it social. Restrooms are well kept and tidy. The campground has a nice trail with a creek that loops in different ways. Overall great experience !

Nice camp host. Was able to grab a spot without reservations, but there is a lot of burned areas all around it. The spot was good, but lots of loud campers.
