The near by home that surround the camper sight people of color well let's just say it that are not white , be aware they will yell the Most hateful things to you we are in2024 and I am sure that this is how your homes are being paid for by the locals or non local using this area . Will not recommend due to that reason. Over all the event was well worth it and would never regret that . But I will differently let other followers know about this area in California if you have other options please do your research before you choose this location.

Loved this campground, it felt like you were actually in nature, and the campground host. Had to warm is off beard that had been close by recently. Scary but exciting. Just remember keep your food mess up. And stay aware of your surroundings. And you should be safe

Don't bother coming here unless you want to pay for a miserable time. The host drives around in his golf car looking for the sound of fun just to shut it down. Came out here for labor day weekend with family and right when 10pm hit, he came around and told us to "be normal" and go to bed. He also yelled at us for using the power outlet to pump our air mattresses up. The kids decided to have a water balloon fight and he came out to tell us that it's illegal. We have been camping here every year with family for 13 years, some of us drive 8 hours just to be here. Seeing how bad it has gone down, I will not be returning. Not to mention the camp sites were full of weeds and twigs and trash. Where is this money going to that we are paying for the camp sites.

There are NO FLUSHING TOILETS OR SHOWERS. They took them out a year ago and replaced with portapotty. But they are very clean and maintence on them is awesome!! Rattlesnakes are in the tall grass by the lake and lots of ant farms - so don't park your tent on them. Views are gorgeous.

Had a nice campsite somewhat removed from people. Went to bed early. There were cockroaches in the morning but nothing crazy. The second night a family camped across from me. They were loud and trashed their site. Not a campsite problem as much as it is a people who go to this campsite problem. Seems to be a recurring theme in the reviews. Friendly staff. Both caretakers I met were incredibly kind and helpful. Clean bathrooms!
