The lady in the welcome center was really nice. We went back to the gift shop and talked to a couple of guys who asked questions about my dog, who has cancer (tumor on her face), and we told them about her journey to the Oklahoma state parks. This is a nice area, and is great for hiking. I haven't camped here, but I wouldn't mind it when it cools off a bit.

This is a beautiful state park. Excellent camping and a cool nature center. Some of our group caught some big catfish and we had a fish fry. We enjoyed some horseback riding, and the kids loved the playground.

This place is amazing the grounds are taken care of by a massive team. A big thank you to all of them for all there hard work with all the rain we had over the holiday weekend. We will be back again!!

This is among my favorites of all parks I've been to so far, in this state. The employees at the visitors center were very friendly and helpful and made us aware of a couple of trail closures from floods, and advised other ones that were good to explore.

Great park with plenty to do, even in November. Primitive campsites are mostly accessible by foot, some are drive up, but poorly spaced. Trails are well marked in most cases, the Nature Loop was marked closed on one end but not the other. Lighted paths were a nice touch in some paved paths. Nature Center staff were the most welcoming, informative and patient, even giving their Saturday feeding session outdoors in the wind. Including pictures of Choctaw and Paradise campgrounds due to poor pictures on site to help build a better picture of camping locations.
