Shadowrock Park & Campground is a scenic municipal facility managed by the City of Forsyth, offering a tranquil retreat in the heart of the Ozarks. This park is nestled along the banks of Swan Creek just before it merges with the cold waters of Lake Taneycomo. Located in Forsyth, Missouri, the park is conveniently positioned near the junction of Highway 160 and Highway 76. The surrounding landscape is defined by the rolling hills of the Ozark Mountains and the pristine waters of the local river systems. Its proximity to both the White River and local lakes makes it a prime spot for water-based recreation.

Amenities & Park Features

The campground features a variety of sites equipped with full hookups, including 30 and 50-amp electrical service to accommodate modern rigs. Many sites offer level pads for easier setup, while others provide a more traditional grassy setting for a rustic feel. On-site facilities include the following:

Lots of memories have been made here; good little park for families. Walking trail near, camping area on one side, fishing areas galore & dog friendly too. Bathrooms are available as well as a water fountain.

Even though it's flood season at Shadow Rock, Park. The water level at the dam is lower, and the water is receding, and the fish are biting at the empire park side of the dam against the wall. Walleye, trout, seaweed. The water is still too high right now for shadow rock, but across the iron bridge and down the hill and right at the stop, you can follow it all the way to the dam and empire park.

Small town ran campground/rv Park it’s a perfect place to go relax with the family. We have rented a slot with full hookups for five nights ( spots 1-8 are full hookups they are a bit tight) they have other sights with water and electric as well that are cheaper! The easiest way to reserve/check in is to call the number before you arrive! They take cash only! Very happy with the experience highly recommend as not many people seem to come here! There is also a Military/Veterans discount make sure you have your ID for that! It’s a very courteous discount! The sights are right in the water!
