Loved this campground. The extended stay folks are super nice and each space is quite roomy. Located close to several towns making it easy for quick trips to the store. Nice clean facilities and the owners are friendly. We enjoyed our time there as well as our fur babies. If watching the sun rise & set is your thing, then you’ll love your time at Shady Acres!

This is one of the nicest RV parks I’ve stayed in! It’s very well taken care of. The sites are huge, which is great for my large fifth wheel and dually truck. There’s a lot of room between you and your neighbor. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. If there was a negative, I didn’t see it. I would absolutely stay here again.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds you will ever stay at!! This park is immaculately manicured and is like staying on a golf course. The facilities are extremely nice and the spots are the widest and longest we've seen in the industry with picnic tables and fire pits. An absolute pleasure to stay which is why there is a big waiting list so grab your spot in advance!

Great park, well maintained. The owners are friendly. The only inconvenience was that we had to move after the 1st night to another site; which we were told at the time of reserving, so that wasn't a surprise. There are only 2 washing machines and dryers. One of each at each bathhouse. So, if you have a bunch of laundry to do, keep that in mind. Check out the Hillsdale Tavern for friendly service and patrons.

Our maiden voyage with the new travel trailer landed one night at Shady Acres. Warm and welcome greeting. Placed me in a drive through spot to ease the parking burden for this newb. Huge site, quiet location and very, very clean/well kept. Other than my embarrasingly thinking the owners private residence was a community center/dog park it was perfect. Will stay here again.

This is a high end park. Bring your shiny new rv to get in. Nothing to do in the park itself. But plenty to do at the state park nearby.

Last week we were about 1/2 way home from camping at Carthage, Mo, visiting our youngest son in that area. We decided to stop and visit our oldest son who was camping at Shady Acres. We talked to Cindy and were able to get a spot for a night. We stopped, checked in, then proceeded to our spot, a pull through. After we parked, got out of the vehicle and discovered a wheel completely missing. We have a 5th wheel with 2 axles and the wheel on the passenger side in back was completely gone. At this point our son went with my husband for parts. This was quite an effort, they had to pound new studs into the hub-- we didn't have a whole machine shop available so they had to hammer these studs in one at a time. A fellow camper, John, came over and helped pound (even gave us a spare rim, since ours was gone), This took the rest of the afternoon, but they got it done!!! We can't say enough good about the courtesy of the campground and campers, especially John, that helped in our time of need. Yes, we made it home safely, the next day.

So clean and well kept. Nice setting with trees for shade. Most campers seemed set up for long term. Very impressed.

Beautiful park with easy parking, full hook-ups, and great staff. Clean and well maintained, gated at night for safety. Super quiet and roads newly blacktopped made for a great evening stroll!
