Disappointed that the tree tent could not ascend as the mechanism needed to raise and lower it was broken, which was not indicated at booking. The tree tent was why we stayed at this site. Also, there are multiple holes in the tent and the location is near a brook, so lots of bugs and mosquitoes. Luckily it is fall and we had bug spray. The tent was not ready when we arrived, but the owners vacuumed it out and put on a sheet on the mattress once we checked in. The tent is spacious and comfortable considering its size. The town of Earlham is very small and there is not much to do. The first thing I noticed was how quiet it was. Downtown consists of a small store, bar and grill, a couple of boutiques, a coffee shop, and a plant store. There is a Casey's gas station before the campsite, which is convenient. Overall, the grounds are nice and the town folk are friendly. The campsite is close to the Highway and you can hear the traffic noise from where the tree tent is located. Nonetheless, check it out.

I love living here. The owners are very nice, they keep the place mowed and looking nice. They aren't discriminatory at all AND I just found out we can have our mail sent there! Yes there are highway sounds but that's to be expected considering it's location right off the interstate 🙄 and the dirt roads there are WAYY better than the super long dirt road to a certain other RV park out near Hartford, THAT one is treacherous between the dirt road that's in terrible shape and a huge great Dane that's sometimes runs around on the longest stretch of road. I do not recommend that one. Anyways, I needed to buy some little solar lights to illuminate the burn pit because it gets pretty dark there, and the first time I took my dog for a walk, he yanked me through that little patch of grass and I completely forgot about the burn ring, the whole thing is invisible in the dark, and I found it with my shins. Thankfully there were no hot coals. The lights help prevent more embarrassing falls. Staying at long as they'll have us. Hopefully we will be able to move to a different spot soon though.

This is the sweetest little place! Perfect for a family with younger kids, due to its small size, kids can roam free here, and parents do not have to worry about what their kids are doing. This would be the best place for a gathering of friends/family with its large central fire pit. However, each site has its own pit for a more intimate evening. The bath house is brand new building with updated fixtures & kept very clean. There's even a heater for chilly weather. I will definitely come back!
