Shady Grove Campground (Forsyth County Park)

We loved this campground! Our site was clean and huge! So nice for us and our dogs! Easy walking areas and we had a gorgeous view of the lake! We sat out every evening and morning drinking coffee or wine and loving the quiet and beauty! We hope to go back!

We chose Shady Grove for our latest family excursion and couldn't be happier. The grounds are super clean, the spots are very nicely maintained, level, and set up appropriately for an easy stay. The staff at the front was super friendly and helped us with a ton of information about the area. We had a great spot and the neighbors were friendly and respectful and the he grounds were cirtually silent for the duration of our visit. We have nothing but great things to say about SGC. I cannot say enough good things about Shady Grove. I have camped here before and I can honestly say, it only gets better. The campground is so well taken care of, it's easy to feel comfortable and relaxed. Errynn, the manager, is so kind and helpful. All the hosts I encountered were kind and happy to help me. I recommend Shady Grove to anyone looking for a beautiful and peaceful camping experience, with great people.

I have stayed at shady grove several times and it is by far the cleanest and friendliest staffed park I have ever been to. The grounds are always clean including bathrooms and laundry facilities. Every staff member I’ve ever encountered has always been super friendly and helpful. My kids love camping here and seeing all the wild life. Aaron is always kind and friendly. It’s an amazing atmosphere you can tell how much everyone cares about this campground 💯 recommend taking a vacation here! I can’t tell you my favorite spot though 😜

We went Glamping at Shady Grove with Timberline Glamping. Site 14 is the best! Great view. Peaceful. The bath house is close and clean! Showers actually have hot water! Rent a kayak and go for a cruise. Good times!

Nice clean campground, clean bathrooms and sites were not on top of each other. Quiet time was respected. At site 99 had a little private beach. Dump station was easy to use and clean. The only thing I didn't like was moving chairs from lower level to upper level depending on if we wanted to sit under awning or sit around fire. Very small inconvenience. Hiked the nearby overlook at Indian seats trail and it was nice. Had kayaks you could rent from local co and they would deliver to campsite. Didn't use, but thought it was nice to have the option Would stay here again.

Great Campground on Lake Lanier. A few tent only sites but mostly RV sites. Great that they now have a septic pump service in addition to the dump station since there are no full hookups. Many sites near the water. Just wish you could reserve for one night only during off season.

Almost all the sites are near on on the lake or lake view. Well kept, clean, sites spaces out well. The public bath rooms/bath houses were very clean. It was not crowded and the check-in was fast and easy. They have a lake beach front for sun bathing & swimming. This campground is great for families. All the sites have area for camper/tents and area with firepit and picnic table that are well maintained. All-in-all, a great experience for the weekend that we will sure revisit.
