We stayed at this campground for a few days last August, and it was the best decision we made! My family absolutely loved it. We couldn’t have asked for more. Everyone was so friendly, and we felt truly welcomed. The amenities were great, and the views were amazing. If you’re looking for a relaxing place to stay, this is it. We can’t wait to come back next time we’re in the area. Highly recommend!

Don’t stay here poor service they gave our sites away that we paid for in full and put us in sites that had no room for a 30ft campers and not even a picnic table or fire ring

This place feels like you stepped back in time....when folks cared and everyone looked after one another. The seasonal campers hold some events to raise money for their events....attend the camper crawl....or another fun event. 4 th of July will for sure be an epic time. Also only 13 min from Renaissance Festival and 5 min from Colloca Winery....Check out Fair Point Marina or eat at Turtle Cove! Come play the summer away dawn to moon set!

There are only a few transient sites. Most are seasonal. Staff was great. Beautiful beacon Lake Ontario. Lots of activities for adults and kids. Great place for family time.

I'm here for the 2022 season. Since being here for over a month now, I have pros and cons I'd like to share. PROS: I felt at home right away. Everyone here is friendly and helpful, lots of social activities, being at the beach is good for your soul, and watching the sunsets is amazing. CONS: I was told my lot would be leveled before I arrived, but it was not and I'm still waiting for that to happen. Whatever company they hired to clean the bathrooms should be fired. Their standard for cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. Pretty sure they haven't cleaned the floors or walls or shower area in ages, if ever. Lastly, the wifi is not reliable. BUT I LOVE IT HERE! I plan on making Shady Shores my summer destination every year, but will be moving to a lot that's level and I can see the sunset from my porch.

Unbelievable setting for an RV resort with lots of water frontage on both Lake Ontario and Blind Sodus Bay. The new owners have made tons of improvements and everything looks great. Love the staff too. Very friendly, professional and completely committed to delivering great customer service.

We've been shopping RV camps for a seasonal site. We contacted this campground, they offered site 67, saying it was available. After emailing back and calling about our interest there was no reply. Later I email again, and I'm told, the site was sold and I can be added to their waiting list. Incredibly poor customer service. I was disappointed. My husband said they treat their business like Facebook marketplace.

The Lee Family has been the Most Incredible, caring, professional owners ever! They just announced they have sold the Campground so they can retire after 20 years of outstanding ownership....We will be so sad that they will no longer greet us with their warm smile and genuine inquiries about our family! The new owners will have to go the extra, extra miles to keep this great campground humming! Our Family has enjoyed the Campground as Lake Front Campers for 40 years! All our good wishes to the new owners on their endeavor!
