Souled Out

BEWARE! Dishonest staff and inconsiderate owners. I lived there for two years and NEVER was late on rent once, but then as soon as I told the office I was moving out, they showed their true colors. I moved my vehicle to a spot that the maintenance man had previously given me permission to park so that my driver could hook up to move my RV and the staff had my car towed which cost me almost $400 because they use a private tow company. Then when I went to ask the maintenance man who called for the tow, he tried to blame the owners son Brandon and said he must have called. However, when I went to pick up my car the wrecker guy told me it was the maintenance man who had my car towed and I found out he lied. He was the one who had given me permission to park my van there recently and then turned around and had my car towed from that very same spot and then lied right to my face! His wife works in the office and was also rude about giving me my $10 key deposit back for the gym. As soon as they realize they won't get any more money out of you they start treating you different. They also put a new pool in like they are doing it for the residents, but as soon as it got completed they went up $50 rent on us to help get their money back so the tenants basically paid for that pool, but they just used that expense as an excuse to justify upping our rent. They ain't slick, they just think they are. Also their wi-fi is really SLOOOW and one of my neighbors said he couldn't get it to connect the whole month he stayed there! They have a million dollar golf course next door, but then get the slowest wifi package for the RV park so they can "cut costs." I did a system test on the wifi speed and it was horribly low. So do yourself a favor and go somewhere where the staff won't lie to your face and actually have the residents best interest in mind, because they are only looking out for their bottom line.

I drove by here to see if this was a potential place that my husband and I could stay long term. Pro’s: the property is as very well maintained and nicely built. They have a cute little pool and a couple of dog parks. Also, there is only one way in and one way out, and from a security stand point, excellent!!! Con’s: my only complaint is that the rv spots are soooooo close together. Very little room for privacy or room to sit outside. I think this would be a perfect for short term stays, but for long term, not for us.

Very nice park. Would like a little more shade. Nice pool area and cute splash area for kids. The Laundry was spotless and worked great. The office staff were wonderful. They have propane so we filled up before we left. We stayed 3 days.

Nice big concrete pull thru slots. Cable available. Only stayed 1 night but park was quiet.

What a lovely hidden gem. We found this looking for a place over night. We were delighted when we pulled in. Really hospitable front desk workers. Beautifully kept grounds. Spacious and easy pull through sites. Hope to come back through at some point. Also a got tub on site!

A wonderful RV park hidden in the woods of East TX. Large sites with easy access to hook-ups. Both pull-thrus and back-in sites all concrete. Clean restrooms and laundry. Easy to maneuver big rigs with concrete roads throughout. Propane, hot tub, pool and camp store. Friendly staff and great service.

The resort is one of the best places I've been to by far. The hosts are sweet as can be, the facilities are always kept up, all concrete lots. It's always quiet and very family friendly. The pond is fun to relax and fish on, we caught lots of catfish! The pool is very clean, i didn't visit the hot tub but from what I've heard from other residents, it's nice. The bathrooms and shower rooms are immaculate! The laundry room is always kept tidy and everyone is very conscious and respectful of other residents needing laundry completed. There is also a little splash pad and playground for children and my 3 year old LOVED it! Its affordable and just all around wonderful! I definitely recommend Shallow Creek RV Resort as a residence for traveling families/couples or even just a weekend getaway! ☺
