This camp is ok. The entire place is very clean - meaning the grounds are well-mowed & tended, the bathhouses & laundry were very clean, and office/store was neat & clean. Laundry rates are also very reasonable ($1.50 for top-loader agitation machine & $1.00 for a home sized dryer). Its in a pretty spot in a very convenient location off the interstate with all modern amenities you need within 15-20 minutes. Rates are reasonable for a private RV park & they gave us a discount. What I didn't like about the park were the sites. They're pretty close together and the back-in sites are very short (about 25'-30' ft). These sites are really only big enough for camper vans & small motor homes. Many of them are very unlevel, as well. The roads & sites are graveled with decent & consistently sized gravel, but all are very narrow and the gravel on the sites needs to be re-done, as the boundaries are obscured by grass over-growth. They are all also full hook-up sites, but the hook-ups are located toward the front of the site or close to the road. We have a 22' total length trailer with electric & water in the middle & a bathroom in the back of the camper, so our sewer discharge is in the back of the camper. **If** I could park my truck and trailer in a straight line there, than I would be approximately 40' away from the sewer connection & 30' from the electric & water connection! 🤦‍♀️ ....But, since I couldn't do that, I was **only** 20' or so feet away from the sewer connection 🙄. Fortunately I had an extension hose, but I had to definitely STRETCH both hoses to make it work. That brings me to parking for the truck you tow your camper with... In many sites (like mine was) there is none. As stated, gravel on the sites has no clear cut lines & grass grew over much of the borders. Camp rules say no parking on "grass", but does that include grass that has grown over the site's gravel?? We therefore took the liberty of parking in the "grass" next to the camper (but as close as we could to the trailer to try & respect their rules). Lastly, as stated, most sites aren't level. We had a significant leveling to do front to back (as the site went up hill) & a little side to side). Also, the roadway was so narrow that it was challenging to back-up even our smaller trailer with everyone almost parking their trucks in the road due to sites not large enough to accommodate parking the trucks used to tow their camper trailers. In spite of the challenging & tight sites & road I still gave the camp a 4, as they were a certain 5 in every other department. If I can suggest anyone wanting to come here, if you have a camper-trailer being towed by a long vehicle when you are asked upon reservation how long your unit it, give them the total or entire length of your truck & trailer hooked-up to tow. Otherwise be prepared for possibly needing to park your truck in the front parking lot by the store. For recommendation to the camp owner: consider enhancing the gravel on your sites & making those that you can a bit longer to accommodate both at least pick-up truck and small camper-trailer (like the sites along the perimeter). Also consider re-positioning your utility hook-ups at these units or offer to allow any campers to borrow an extra water hose, discharge hose, or electrical cord. I wouldn't be adverse to allowing a camp to hold a deposit on my card for tge cost of the hose that you can charge only if I don't return it. Additionally, for anyone interested in renting a cabin, I didn't see the insides but they have some cute cabins for rent here. Personally I think this is a much nicer option than getting a hotel room. Lastly, is there a lot of road noise? Yes. But look at where this camp is on on a map, YOU ARE CAMPING ALMOST DIRECTLY ADJACENT TO A MAJOR INTERSTATE HIGHWAY - that means there's going to be lots of HIGHWAY ROAD NOISE. If what you're looking for is quiet forest nights then find a campground significantly away from any major roadway! 🙄 Do not come here!

Place is definitely in need of some updates. Overall it is a nice campground and we will go again. If you go try to reserve a site closer to the waterfall. That side of the park is much nicer. Waterfall is beautiful and the river is fun to float.

Very convenient location right off the highway, so yes you hear the highway but that shouldn't be a surprise. Wonderful first impression when I checked in. I love it when they hand you a packet explaining everything in the area. The grounds are well kept and charming. Clean pool, nice dog park, and large community fire pit. Will stay here again if coming through the area. This place is very big into antiques. If that's your jam this is the place for you. Lots of farmers markets to. Winerys and brewers as well.

Very nice RV park, clean and spacious. Offers full hookups RV spots, tent, and cottages. Our spot was leveled, full hookups and we had plenty of space between us and the neighbors. Verizon and T Mobile service is great. On arrival you receive a list of local attractions, stores, restaurants and activities! Place is about 40 minutes away from Shenandoah National Park. Place has a pool, mini golf and dog park. It is located close to interstate 81 so there is some road noise.
