The "Old West" lives on in Sheridan where people still smile, wave and help each other out under the austere beauty of the Big Horn Mountains.
The campground is a convenient stopping point between Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone National Parks. Our campground offers a variety of ways to stay with tent sites, RV sites, KOA Kamping cabins, and a deluxe cabin. There are plenty of shade trees,a playground for the kids, a K-9 area for your dog, and a relaxing atmosphere for mom and dad. We also have clean restrooms/showers, basketball, horseshoes, mini-golf, a swimming pool, fishing on the Big Goose Creek, and WI-FI. Don't forget the 20 miles of trail systems in Sheridan, monuments, battlefields, museums, golf courses, restaurants, taverns, the occasional polo match, rodeos, lakes/streams, fishing, hunting, ATV-ing, and of course, exploring the magnificent Big Horn Mountains.

There is literally a paved bike path that goes into town and through a natural area that starts right at the campground. We rode to the Mexican restaurant and had a great meal , 96% paved path to the restaurant! We stayed at C1 I believe, had a nice concrete patio and chairs , some astro turf too, which was nice.

This KOA in Sheridan was excellent. I left my Starlink dish at my campsite and realized it 300 miles later. I called Stacey at the Sheridan location and she went above and beyond in getting it for me and shipping it to my house. Everybody there I dealt with was awesome. We’ve stayed there a few times in over the years and have left happy every time. Definitely a campground to keep on your radar. Stephen S.

The place was great and the Manager was great. She made our stay great and when we had a issues she tried to fix it and then when she could not got someone else to fix it in about a hour so we would not have to move RV sites which we liked. If one afternoon I as at the office and had to go back for keys she drove me over to the RV and waited and drove me back. What service!!
