Sheridan Lake Resort

Overview

Sheridan Lake Resort serves as a premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts in the heart of the Cariboo region. Known primarily for its record-breaking fishing opportunities, this lakeside retreat offers a serene environment for those looking to disconnect. The resort provides a blend of lakeside RV sites and cozy cabin rentals, ensuring every traveler finds a comfortable place to rest between adventures on the water. It maintains a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere that honors the traditions of the British Columbia interior.

Location & Surroundings

Situated along the scenic Highway 24, also known as the Fishing Highway, the park is nestled in the peaceful community of Lone Butte, BC. The surrounding landscape is defined by dense forests and the crystal-clear waters of Sheridan Lake itself. This high-elevation region provides a refreshing escape from urban heat, offering stunning sunset views and a quiet atmosphere that highlights the natural beauty of the plateau. The area is teeming with local wildlife, making every morning a new opportunity for nature photography.

Amenities & Park Features

The resort is well-equipped to handle modern travelers while maintaining its signature rustic charm. Visitors can choose from full-hookup RV sites that accommodate various rig sizes with ease. Key amenities include a private marina with motorboat and pontoon rentals, a convenient general store for bait and essentials, and clean laundry facilities. The park also features a dedicated fish cleaning station and specialized tackle shop, which are favorite features among the dedicated angling community that visits year after year.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

While the trophy rainbow trout are the main attraction, the area offers plenty of terrestrial exploration for those who prefer to stay on land. The Interlakes region is home to hundreds of smaller lakes and several provincial parks, such as Bridge Lake Provincial Park. Guests can enjoy hiking and mountain biking on expansive local trail networks or take a short drive to explore the historical character of the Lone Butte townsite. During the winter, the region remains active with ice fishing and snowmobiling.

Who This Park Is Best For

This resort is specifically tailored for avid anglers and families who enjoy traditional water-based recreation. It is an excellent choice for RVers who prefer staying at a destination park rather than a quick overnight stop along the highway. If you are looking for a tranquil lakeside environment with a strong sense of place and direct access to some of the best freshwater fishing in the province, this park is an ideal fit for your travel style.

I'm in a RV site so I don't know what the cabins are like. The staff is super nice and accommodating. The boat rentals are great and a decent price. I will definately be coming back as often as I can!!!

Sheridan Lake Resort comes highly recommended by ourselves! Tammy, Titus and Tucker are incredible hosts! They work very hard and are so friendly, accommodating and care about their guests! They take good care of us and listen to everyone's thoughts and concerns. The bathrooms and showers are cleaned and sanitized daily. The beach is clean and very enjoyable. The lake is incredible and the loons are beautiful especially when they call out. A trophy Lake for fishing. And the campers here are very friendly. Highly recommended!!!

A Hidden Gem for Fishing Enthusiasts! We recently stayed at Sheridan Lake Resort and had an absolutely unforgettable experience. The cabins are cozy, well-maintained, and offer all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. Nestled in a beautiful, serene location, the views of the lake are simply stunning. Waking up each morning to the sounds of nature and the sight of the sun rising over the water was nothing short of magical. The resort staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to offer tips and advice for catching the best fish. They also provide excellent equipment rentals, which was super convenient. Whether you’re here for the fishing or just looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Sheridan Lake Resort is the perfect getaway. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with excellent fishing!
