Theift is a huge concern. No night lighting and no cameras. Our generator and 30 gallon propane tank(full of propane) simply disappeared. Police located tracks on beach where it was drug away. Last night another camper had two $7,000 motorcycles taken. Police take reports but mention the homeless that have a nearby camp make it an unsafe area. Will never stay in this town again. Have traveled across the states never any issues, except when we crossed the border into California. Asked why no safety procautions or heads up to campers. We were told it's a city owned business and " they don't want to spend any money"

I'd stay here again with a few caveats. 1. There is a clear problem of bicycle theft at night here. Thieves steal bicycles that are not locked to the campers with strong chains. 2. There is a decent bathroom, shower, and laundry room. -BUT- there is also a public single stall bathroom just outside the gates of the RV park. Many guests, including us, first thought that this terrible bathroom was THE bathroom for the RV park. It is not the bathroom. When you register, check your email and they will send the code to the bathroom lock. 3. We never met anyone managing this place. The registration office seems to have odd hours so we registered online and all was fine. 4. It is a beautiful location on a flat plain with an earthen berm between the campsites and the beach. The berm blocks much of the wind coming off the bay. This is a good thing. 5. We ate our meals at the picnic table and the hook up worked fine. 6. We met very nice people here and felt safe. 7. It was a pleasant 20-minute walk to the restaurant at the brewery. We felt safe along the way.

We arrived just after 4 PM. got all set up and went out for dinner. we came back to the park and went to bed. The next morning we were going to see the Red Woods. I noticed my Westinghouse Generator was missing along with 30 pound propane Tank and the regulator to hook the dual fuel generator to the propane tank. What was amazing was the generator was carried to the beach then drug along on its wheels southeast on the beach to the parking lot next to the boat piers in the cove. we will never stay here again. To make this park safe and secure would have to have motion activated cameras along the beach as well as the entry. the cameras would also need lights that came on with motion. Of course there would be animals setting them off but it would stop criminal from coming to steal things. There have been numerous thefts in this RV Park. My recommendation is class action law suit for not making this a secure and safe location. I am in if someone does it.

Solid county RV park with fabulous outlook over the bay of Crescent City. Definitely recommend a site with an ocean view - there is a little berm to sit on and watch the sunsets, and you can have your dogs off leash on the beach. Yes, there is a persistent fog horn in the distance and very noisy neighbors of the sea lion variety! But in my opinion it adds to the character of this place! We did not have any trouble while we were there and everyone at the park was real friendly. Definitely recommend to stay here when in Crescent City!

The reviews online made us a little leery about possible homeless people, etc. What we found was a well organized Campground with tons of very expensive motor coaches and other well maintained rigs. Never did we feel unsafe and nothing went missing in the night. It was awesome to walk on the beach in the afternoon and morning. Loved the availability of renting a Solo stove to enjoy a fire when it got a little chilly in the evening. Very friendly staff too. About the only negative in my eyes was the bathrooms. They were a little sad and worn out.

Nice Rv park situated on the beautiful cove. Be sure to walk over the Battery Point Lighthouse and see the flowers. You have to wait for low tide to walk over. Nice bike trail out front to left of campground that goes along waterfront.

Nice place to park the RV. At the time of our visit, the roads needed time be re-graveled. Bathrooms and showers were clean!

We stayed at this RV park for 4 nights. It was a very nice and quiet place, well there is a fog horn that goes off all night long and you can hear the sea lions barking on and off. Those noises woke me a few times each night but never really woke my husband or kids. We have a 42ft 5th wheel and stayed in spot 15 backed up to the ocean. It was beautiful! No matter your size you will have no issue getting around or parking anywhere in this park. The roads are dirt and had some pretty big pot holes but nothing you can’t get around. The beach has tons of drift wood and my kids had the best time building forts with it. Crescent City itself is a bit rundown and there is a Walmart and a few other smaller grocery stores. We found a beach that had lots of sea glass, and got fish n chips out by the boat dock. There are a bunch of sea lions that sun bath there so it was fun to watch them.

We travel full-time and have experience with both amaing and very crappy parks. This is an amazing RV park. Who wouldn't love to wake up to the sound of waves, barking of sea lion and a fog horn. Beautiful view of the bay and lighthouse. Sunsets are chefs kiss. Staff is friendly and super helpful. We were here during the bomb cyclone and they helped with preperation and the aftermath.

If you plan ahead enough, get a spot along the waterfront. Check-in was smooth, and reservations were easy to make online where you pick your own spot. Staff was friendly. No huge amenities here. But, what more do you need with a waterfront park, jetty, and Pier nearby? Very close to town with restaurants and shops. I'm sure we will be back sometime

Crescent City California is wonderful and the best place to stay is at lighthouse cove rv Park. The staff is friendly and helpful. The park is super clean and close to everything. Backed right up to the cove you can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Fishing and crabbing is free on the pier. Priced affordable, you really can't find a better place to stay on the cost with your trailer. Enjoy

We will definitely be back… Easy access right off 101. Very reasonable price. Huge pull threw sites with yard and concrete slab at the front door. Full hookups at cute little lighthouses in every spot. Clean bathrooms and Landry room with coded entry. Excellent WiFi and of course Great views!!!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not have reservations and needed to get off the road and out of the storm for a couple days. Ed at the front desk was so polite and put us in a nice safe spot to wait it out. Thank you Ed!!!!

This place is a great view and clean!!! Everything!!! the laundry room and bathrooms were very clean!! We are traveling to Washington state and hit King Tide and a bad wind storm!! ED, the most WONDERFUL camp host man, was so helpful... the winds were picking up quick.. and no other rv parks were open and now I’m so thankful because this is by far the best one in this town!! 75 mph gusts and pulling a trailer was not an option especially up the 101!! We have pets they were very welcome!! Even allowed on the beach!! Great WiFi connection, cozy, safe and he recommended a great seafood restaurant that we will be dining at tonight!!! Once again THANK YOU ED!!! You’re a real life saver and this is by far the best place to stay in Crescent City California!!!

We’ve been to Crescent City dozens of times but this was our first time staying here, and won’t be our last! We made it just in time to enjoy a gorgeous sunset and settle into our spot. The customer service here is outstanding! Our usual places had signs on the doors that read, “closed for the weekends. Showers closed.” and would not return calls. Ed here at Lighthouse Cove returned our call right away and was a saving grace. Hot showers open and available! The roads aren’t paved but that doesn’t bother us. Give it a try! Within walking distance to the brew house and other restaurants.
