Several hiking trails, such as the Waylan Trail, are easily accessible for those wanting to explore the forest on foot. Additionally, the park is located only about 15 miles from the southern entrance of Yosemite National Park, making it a strategic alternative for travelers who want to visit the iconic valley floor while staying in a less crowded, lakeside setting.

Booked last minute, and lucked out on the spot with a few, flat tent sites and good shade. A lot of spots here are not really level since this campground is situated on a hilly point. I will add that there are cabins right by the camp site, and those guests stayed up late with glaring lights. Bathrooms were super clean. The water flowed from the spigot cloudy, so bring water. Walking distance to the lakeshore. 10/10 would stay again.

Such an amazing spot for camping, our space had such a great privacy, clean and beautiful spot. The lady that was hosting the area was very kind, and made the experience even greater. We will definitely come back and repeat the experience.

Nice little spot for fishing. Except we didn't even get a bite. It was still beautiful though. We had a great time. Restrooms were clean. Need to bring $10.00 cash to pay for restroom and garbage can use.

This Campground is absolutely beautiful!! Space between camp sites is large and there is loads of room. The sites are mostly unlevel so RV's need to bear this in mind. The restrooms were spotless and cleaned regularly by the lovely host. No electricity but there are water points. We were lucky to have a whole area to ourselves with not another person in sight. Really special!

We found the Wishon Point Campground accidentally and since then have been coming here every year. Wonderful location, plenty of cozy sites, most of them have shade. Camp hosts are friendly and take a great care of the camp. The lake is in walking distance across the road. There’s a convenience store 10 minutes driving away. There’re plenty of restrooms on the campsite but no showers available. This place is popular so you want to reserve it online in advance.
