We’ve spent the past few Summers visiting Silver Summit in our travel trailer. We’ve always been treated very kindly and professionally by staff. This is really a top notch mom & pop place. However, in the past 4 years we’ve been coming, the other visitors have changed from other smaller trailers to more giant motor coaches. Due to this, the reflective heat has become unbearable. Also, very noisy with people letting their dogs bark either in their coaches or tied up outside, and running their coaches all day for their AC. Also, say goodbye to fresh air from the exhaust of these coaches. It’s really unfortunate. Due to this, we will no longer be guests at this park.

Spent 2wks here and loved it. Level and comfortable sites. Conveniently located to all the trails as well as Ouray and Telluride. Just a few blocks from downtown Silverton. Beautiful views of the mountains. The Durango train is very close but no train whistles in the middle of the night. Creek (river?) runs just along the side of the park so great place for walking and sounds of running water.

Great location, quiet rv park located right at the beginning of town. Everything in Silverton is within walking distance. Nice semi level back in spots. Very clean restrooms/showers. Jeep rentals up front with the Durango/Silverton train out back. WiFi is so-so, but what do you expect for this location. We will be back again especially since this campground has the lowest price in the area.

We stayed at Silver Summit for a week and a half. The site was wonderful with a beautiful view. Having full hook ups is so convenient. It is wonderful that the river is just right across the railroad tracks. The staff here was incredibly friendly. We also rented a jeep for a day and had a wonderful experience with that as well. The grounds are very nice at this facility and the bathrooms are the cleanest that I have ever used. Thank you for a wonderful stay and looking forward to seeing you next year.
