I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at HTR Adirondacks. The location was perfect—peaceful, scenic, and right on the bank of the Moose River, where I loved spending time fishing. The site and cabin were exceptionally clean, and I appreciated how well-equipped everything was. The fire pit was a wonderful touch—it was so relaxing to build a campfire, sit by the flames, and listen to the gentle flow of the river nearby. The grill, cooking utensils, pots, pans, two-burner induction stove, microwave, toaster, and K-cup coffee maker provided everything I needed—and more—for comfortable, convenient cooking. The on-site mini store was a nice touch, and being just six miles from Old Forge made it easy to explore the area. The natural beauty of the region in the fall, with the leaves changing color, was absolutely breathtaking. I also appreciated how polite and considerate the other campers were—it really made the atmosphere welcoming and relaxed. The staff at HTR Adirondacks were outstanding—polite, friendly, and always willing to help. Their warmth, smiles, and genuine hospitality made my trip even more enjoyable and memorable. It’s rare to find such a caring team, and I truly felt welcomed from the moment I arrived. I’ll definitely stay here again when the opportunity arises. This was my first vacation in nearly twenty years, and it was everything I hoped for: restful, quiet, and filled with the solitude I needed to refresh and renew before returning to everyday life. I look forward to coming back again.

Stayed in a two bedroom cabin and it was amazing! The cabin was right on the river and my son was able to play in it everyday, his favorite part. The cabin is clean and looks new on the inside, the shower and bathroom were great. It also had a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. The town of Old Forge was so cute and only ten minutes away. The women at the welcome area were friendly and nice, and the store had everything you might have forgotten. Theres a little park for kids that has a really cool pirate ship, and the campground is well taken care of. I definitely will be coming back to stay here in the future, it was a great experience.

We camped here for the first time Labor Day weekend and we loved it. It was quiet and our site backed right up to the playground which was awesome for our kids. The grounds were well kept with a beautiful view of Moose River. It was a short drive into town, the staff was so friendly, the camp store was so cute and had everything you’d need. We definitely will be booking again.

Our stay at HTR in the Adirondacks was an incredible tent camping experience. We were so impressed with the campground that we ended up extending our stay for an additional two nights. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful, and we were pleased to find that the campsites were impeccably clean and well-maintained. The bath house facilities were a standout—very clean and surprisingly spacious. We also appreciated how pet-friendly the campground is, which made our trip even more enjoyable. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, and the entire atmosphere is fantastic. We honestly have nothing negative to say about our stay and would highly recommend HTR to anyone looking for a wonderful camping trip.

Im giving it a 4 star because the sites are very small and tight for bigger campers. We have a 30-35 foot camper and we had to move around tree limbs, rocks and stumps very close to the site that was just big enough for our camper. Great location and very nice maintenance guys. Its a beautiful place for kids and you are able to tube down the river.
