Sisters Creekside Campground

Overview

Sisters Creekside Campground offers a unique blend of municipal convenience and natural beauty. Nestled along the banks of Whychus Creek, this park provides a peaceful forested environment while being managed by the City of Sisters. Travelers often appreciate the towering ponderosa pines that provide ample shade across the well-maintained grounds, creating a classic Central Oregon atmosphere for a relaxing stay that feels secluded yet connected.

Location & Surroundings

The park is ideally situated on the eastern edge of the Cascade Mountains. Its most defining feature is the pedestrian bridge that spans the creek, offering a direct walking path into the heart of downtown Sisters. You are surrounded by high-desert landscapes and mountain vistas, yet you remain within walking distance of the town’s iconic 1880s-themed storefronts, art galleries, and local eateries that make the area famous.

Amenities & Park Features

Visitors can choose from a variety of site types to suit their setup, including full hookup sites equipped with 30 and 50 amp service. For those seeking a more traditional experience, the park offers numerous dry camping spots and dedicated tent areas. On-site facilities include clean restrooms, automated coin-operated showers, and a sanitary dump station for guest use. Each site typically includes a sturdy picnic table and a fire ring for evening gatherings.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Outdoor recreation is the primary draw for this region. Guests are just a short drive from the Three Sisters Wilderness, which offers world-class hiking and mountain biking trails for all skill levels. The Metolius River and Clear Lake are nearby for fishing and paddling. Additionally, the town of Sisters hosts popular annual events like the Sisters Rodeo and the Outdoor Quilt Show, both easily accessible from the campground.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is an excellent choice for active travelers who want to balance wilderness exploration with town amenities. It is ideal for families who enjoy having a creek nearby and for RVers who prefer a site where they can park the rig and walk to dinner. If you value a community-centered atmosphere with immediate access to both nature and local culture, this campground fits your travel style perfectly.

Great campground to stay at! Nice level sites, super friendly staff! Nice and quiet at night. The creek and green grass were wonderful and very well kept. Hosts were very knowledgeable about the area and we could easily walk to town! Definitely would stay again!

This was a nice and convenient place to spend the night in Sisters. Very short walk to everything fun downtown Sisters. Clean restrooms and the showers were really good.

Campers Run! The campsites are very close, you pay $30.00+ a night for a basic site with no electricity or water. You're forced to pay an additional $10.00 at the dump station. You hear the automobile/trucker noise from hwy 20/126. Camp Host are nice folks & keep the park clean. We heard the showers are awful, $1 only gives you 2 minutes. We would not recommend or stay at this location again. The city needs to improve & not charge campers an additional fee to dump. There are plenty of other nicer/quieter places to camp/stay in the area, some are free boon-docking in the trees.

Nice find when we needed a campsite for the night. Dog friendly. Nice creek for dogs to play in. Hosts could have been better but overall a nice stay

The campground is pleasant (nestled among the trees) but the showers are awful. You pay $33 for a basic site with no electricity or water. If you want to shower, it’s $1 for two minutes. Even dogs get better baths at the groomer’s.
