Skowhegan/Kennebec Valley KOA combines location, facilities and recreation to offer an ideal family vacation setting. We're located on Route 2 in central Maine's beautiful Kennebec Valley, just 12 miles from Skowhegan and easily accessible from the Maine Turnpike. Enjoy the region's majestic views of mountains, lakes and scenic drives including the nearby National Scenic Byway to Canada. Area activities include swimming, boating, fishing, golfing, hiking, antique hunting, shopping and dining. We are within 5 minutes of beautiful Lake George Regional Park with its Lake and beaches and we are about an hour drive to Moxie Falls - one of Maine's highest and most beautiful waterfalls.
Discover a new adventure every day with popular outing destinations that include whitewater rafting, Augusta, Bangor, Moosehead Lake, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, Baxter State Park and Mt Katahdin. Campers enjoy our Cafe', pool, arcade, game room, playground and sports fields along with hay rides. Located on 83 acres, we have walking trails to explore. Numerous activities for the kids are offered and our popular Theme Weekends are enjoyed by all ages.
We have Limited Free WiFi and Cable TV, along with open and shaded sites ranging from tents to spacious pull-thru sites with S/W/E 30/50 amp. Camping Cabins, Cottages and Lodge (Deluxe Cabins) are available for rent. All groups are welcome - motorcycle groups, boy scouts, girl scouts, church groups, etc. Enjoy genuine Maine hospitality and friendliness along with exceptional value for your camping dollar, great times and wonderful memories! Very nice CG and very nice people in the office. A gentleman from the office led us out to our site. He decided that another site would allow us to turn a corner more easily, so he moved us to an adjoining site. Great store. Bathrooms very clean. Showers were separate from the bathrooms, and they were also very clean. The pool was great – very clean and lots of umbrellas for shade. Nice laundry room. Dog park, playground. Cabins, a few tenting sites and mostly big rigs. Strong WIFI! Campers friendly and very quiet. We enjoyed it and would recommend.

This is a wonderful little campground, the cabin was clean and stocked with essentials. The campground was clean and well maintained. We needed a central location to be able to visit both Moosehead Lake in the North and Acadia in the South and this was perfect!!

Lovely KOA. Spacious, well kept with lots of activities for kids. Nice dog park & also trails. Swimming pool great & big hats off to cable & wi/fi upgrades. Husband & I camped in our motorhome. Really nice park, great owners & beautifully kept up.

KOA's are generally well staffed and offer many extra's. Here in Canaan, there is quiet. Well kept grounds, landscape, pool and office. Store has many foods, drink options, essentials as needed and fun stuff. Very clean and up to date bath/ laundry set up.. impressed
Ugly Coyote
Despite being just off a major road, you can absolutely disappear into a little slice of the wilderness at this camp or enjoy the creature comforts of a warm and comfortable community hub. It was a treat to enjoy memorial day weekend here with our pups in a spacious, cozy cabin. Was enough to make us converts to the KoA and sign up for a membership; hopefully we'll be back sooner than later. (:
