First off, just to tell you all, I play WolfQuest, which, you guessed it, takes place in Yellowstone National Park. My favorite map is the Slough Creek Watershed. Best starter map ever. I want to work here when I grow up. So keep the naturalist job open for me! I also just love what you've done for the wolves here, giving them a second chance. Five stars 🐺♥️

The #1 campground in the USA, and for good reason! The views are beautiful, the sound of the creek is relaxing, Bison roam through the campground on a regular basis, bears roam across the creek, wolves are a mile away in their den, golden Eagles nest on the cliff by the road, Beaver swim in Slough Creek and all this for $20 a night!? 🤯🤯🤯 The hosts are great people too, James and Amy are super nice and accommodating and will answer all of your wildlife and hiking questions. Amy has a great smile and James has the best hair I have ever seen!

Beautiful and quiet. I wished we would have brought a sun canopy instead of our tarps as there was no trees in our site to hang the tarps. Once the sun came up over the mountain it got very hot. We had multiple bison roam through camp which was magical!

This is a cute little area tucked inside Yellowstone. You are basically sleeping next to the Bison (and Bears) in this place. Very pretty though.

Awesome campground!! Stayed 4 nights in July 2023. Available 2 weeks in advance. You need to get up early to book.

Such a peaceful quiet campground!! Host was so so nice and clearly loves the area and the animals. The best thing about this campground is driving through the herds of bison on the way. Heard stories of the animals even paying visits to the campground! (Wolves, bears etc!) We went for a refreshing dip in the creek and some of the sites are right on the creek which must be very peaceful. Also, cleanest pit toilets we’ve ever seen! The campground is not super close to the rest of the park but it’s perfect if you want to explore the wildlife in this region of the park! Please CANCEL your reservation online if you book and decide not to come. Lots of the campsites went empty which was sad because I know how hard it is to get one 😒

One of the best places we stopped during a few days in the park. Got out the folding chairs and sat by the creek for a while. Peaceful and gorgeous with almost no other people around.

We just used the day camp area but it is a beautiful spot in Yellowstone! There are some spots that give the kids easy access to splash in the river. Further up, bring your fly rod as there is some world class angling for those willing to make the hike. The campground doesn't seem to get the same amount of pressure as most of the other park campgrounds do. It is a little out of the way but well worth the visit. Nice vault toilet on site. One of my favorite places to take the kids and have a picnic in the park.

One of the most amazing campgrounds I have ever been to! Black bear momma with cubs walked through our site, wolf walking across the stream and howling at night, huge bison on the road, world class fly fishing around the corner.. hard to beat! Somewhat far from other things but worth the drive for wildlife. Nice bathrooms and campground hosts were great people. Fyi: the trail from the campground to the meadows above is out from tree fall. Take the main trail from the parking lot and start early, it gets hot!
