My husband and I wanted to get away for a couple days and just relax. I specifically chose this place so we weren’t in the middle of the craziness. Let me tell you, this place was perfect! The first thing we noticed was that this place is immaculate. It has to be one of the cleanest and well maintained campgrounds I’ve ever been to. My husband even joked about them having the cleanest port-o-potties in existence. Amy at the office was super helpful and checking in was quick and easy. We had a spot on the river and it was beautiful. We will definitely be back with the kids!

This is my third season at Smiths. The owners are great people and the staff are super friendly. They have always gone out of their way to ensure my family and me have a great experience. The river is very accessible for both relaxing or disembarking from a trip down the river. They have good good, priced well and the ice cream is fantastic!! They have a multitude of flavors to satisfy anyone's taste!

Our weekend here was very relaxing. It’s early in the season so there wasn’t very many campers other than permanent campers and maybe a few others there for the weekend. We stayed on the river and the views were amazing! Our sites were large and the grounds were very clean. We originally booked different sites and then they moved us unexpectedly due to them having reseeded the grass. I wished they would have reach out and asked what sites before moving us. However after reaching out to the owners they were more than accommodating and let us move to different sites. I am glad they weren’t busy and it wasn’t during a prime weekend because we pretty much had the whole campsite to choose from. When we arrived the sites we re-chose had water on the sites from all the rain and they let us once again choose different sites. The check in process was smooth and everyone was very polite. This was our first time here at this campground. I would definitely book another weekend. They appear to be making upgrades to the grounds. Already considering booking another weekend hopefully when it’s warmer and we can enjoy the river more.
