Very affordable, remote, off grid setting. Independent, self reliance recommended. Mostly solar power with minimal generator noise. Snowbird residents are awesome & very helpful. Large, private lots are the clincher.

We left Quartzsite Arizona looking for a different kinda of vibe. More like a feeling of home we found it here for sure. Been here almost a month staying till end of next month as well. Have our spot picked out for next year too. The sign says it's the people that make the park and here at Snowbird West that's true.

I have been a full time RV Glam Camping since 2016. I migrate with the weather and outdoor activities. I have visited this campground twice during the winter. I am not brave enough to stayed here for the summer. The summer here is extremely hot over +100’ F. The star lite nights and sunset here are the worth the stay. This is a low cost laid back snowbird RV campground. The manager Ron drives around on a 4-wheeler. If your dog is good they might get a dog treat from him. Patrons here love their animals. Please pick up any waste. There are limited hours on showers, laundromat, restrooms, trash bend- recycling area, black water-service only $5. If you wish to dump your black water yourself. Great,The black vault is to the right of the restrooms. There are yearly, monthly, daily spots available year. The closest market is Salome Market, 67230 US-60, Salome, AZ 85348. There you can find propane, gasoline, groceries, liquor, and laundry. We are the people, Respect each person. We all volunteer here in one way or another. The lodge is a great place for socializing. The main door has all info about upcoming events. Some of the events are as follows: Petunia, ladies craft days, kid fun, dinners, mail service, and games nights. Though on Wine Wednesday ladies walk around the park. The park is about one mile around. The gentleman meet up at the fireplace in the lodge and drink coffee before petunia. It is nice to use a Honda or a quiet generator. If you have to use a generator. The noise carries a long way in the desert. Please respect the hours allotted to run the generator. If you have medical conditions, you are able to use a generator at night. Make sure to bring a mountain or e-bike. One of my favorite things to do is mountain bike the desert. Make sure to bring boots, sunglasses, hat, and plenty of water. Little secret the best hiking trail is Harquahala Mountain Trailhead. Please check out my photos!

You sometimes it's not the place, it's the People. This one of the places. There are very few amenities there and they never claimed to have them. There is however lots of space peace and quiet. It was nearby access to I-10, restrooms, showers, rv dump, water that runs 2 or 3 hrs everyday(enough to fill you rv holding tanks and or supplimental water storage), take a shower or wash the truck. They have a cute guest built community room where there is always a pick up game of pool or bingo or an occasional movie. But when you leave there with a smile on your face. The thing you will remember is the great people you have met there and will likely see again when you return. Quite possibly will see anywhere in the country as you continue to live the RV life. You will remember Snowbird West the fun you had and the people you made new friendships with.

Perfect place to stay for the winter. A bit far from shopping opportunities but it is peaceful and the community is great.

Great boondocking RV park! Petunia, the honey wagon comes out once a week for $3 pump-out, water is available at sites from 4-6p.m. everyday except Sunday, and you can choose from available sites to call your home for a couple days, weeks, months or seasonal for unbelievably low prices

Snowbird West is Arizona's best kept secret. It's a campground that was constructed by members is the Escapees RV club. They were very original in their methods of laying things out. It helps if you have Solar. The members pretty much run the place. I can only say ... It's the Best!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this park! The views, the manager, the peace you get as well as the life lessons in living on solar and limited water is an experience I’ll never forget and very thankful for! Ron the manager is beyond helpful, he’s there to answer questions and aid in assistance newbies to the solar world with a smile! $120.00 a month is a great price to pay for the life lessons you’ll receive while staying here! So much history in the area you could easily spending 6 months here and still not see or experience it all! If you found this review helpful please give it a thumbs up and follow us around as we travel our beautiful country!
