We love Snowflower. Beautiful mountains, great place to hike. Nice little lake. They always have a lot of power issues and small trailers using big sites. To bad they don't work on those issues.

The staff was lovely and the campground is well kept. A couple of things to note for your visit: 1) pack winter clothing for the summer, it gets very cold here, even in the summer (30s-50s)! It's too cold for swimming but the lake is nice to look at! 2) the trees are non stop with shredding and weeping sap, which I guess requires a special oil based cleaner to remove... so, next time, I'm definitely staying in the paved lot area. 3) you're really remote from basic needs and Truckee is very very small and very very very crowded so you really need to go to Reno for basics... so stock up before arriving. if you keep this all in mind, you'll have a wonderful trip!!

I was super hopeful my campsite would be nice, as the location is great. But, after dragging my travel trailer up there and searching for hours (on a gravel road, in 4wd), I realized the lack of decent spots (that were available) and amenities was not worth the trouble. I paid for reservations for 3 nights, but was on my own to find an open site. If you value a decent camping experience, try another place. If you are deserapte, I guess this might do. I was not desperate.

They over book even if you’re a member and have reservations for a spot that fits your trailer. The staff lie and make up accusations to give you citations so you’re forced to leave. We were told that they got calls we were too loud when my one year old was sleeping in the trailer. Our neighboring site said we were never loud. We just wanted a nice relaxing weekend but got nothing but harassment from a certain staff member and the manager. They don’t want you here. They have many spots with no water or electricity and allow tent campers in large spaces for trailers. (Tent campers are only allowed up on the hill). Don’t ever come here! They treat people like trash.

Really liked this campground and it will be a regular stop from now on. Great lake views, plenty of shade, water and 30 Amp power are good. Dump stations are conveniently located near sites as there is no sewer for the majority of the sites (thus the single star ding). Lots of hiking, stocked lake, and clean restrooms/showers.

Super family friendly and clean! The staff are all super courteous and helpful! Great Job to the whole team and management! This is our second time staying this summer and they have a lodge with ping pong, pool table, games. The activity night was awesome! They have activities for families - movie nights, and more Outdoor pool, pickle ball court, shuffle board.

We stayed in the Cliffs for several weeks and could walk to the dam in about 10 minutes, across from the pool and shower and just a few minutes to the Lodge. But with easy access comes small sites so pick your campground poison! Setting is gorgeous but TT needs to update the facility. The Lodge is lacking and sadly no activities for the kids. Hours for store, lodge and pool are generous. Pool was always clean. Staff is helpful. Made friends with the hosts Bryant & Vanessa in the Cliffs and they were always helpful. The one bathhouse that we used was clean and great water pressure. The lake is great for floating, kayaking and fishing. Two other lakes within a 5 min drive. Takes about 20min to Donner Lake and 30-40 to Truckee. Great hikes within a 10 minute drive making it a solid destination.
