Location & Surroundings
The park is situated just west of Neillsville, surrounded by the lush, rolling landscapes of Clark County. The setting is dominated by the 25-acre Snyder Lake, which creates a peaceful backdrop for many of the campsites. Tall hardwoods and pines provide a natural canopy, offering ample shade and a sense of privacy for guests. - Clean shower facilities and flush toilets.
- A designated swimming beach and boat launch area.
- On-site playground and picnic shelters for families.
The availability of a dump station and potable water for self-contained rigs ensures a comfortable and functional stay for those spending several days enjoying the woods.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Adventure is never far away, as the park offers direct access to the Clark County ATV/UTV trail system, which is renowned throughout the Midwest for its quality and length. Just a short drive away, visitors can explore The Highground Veterans Memorial Park, a moving tribute set on a scenic ridge with panoramic views of the surrounding hills. For history buffs, the 1897 Jail Museum in Neillsville provides a unique look at local heritage, while nearby hiking trails offer more opportunities to explore the diverse regional flora.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is an ideal choice for outdoor enthusiasts and families who enjoy water-based activities like fishing for panfish or swimming in a calm lake. Descent quiet spot. The only major complaint is the area is not well handicap accessible. The main restrooms do have a paved path to them but it is so uneven and rocky, plus there is a step up to get to either restroom that requires extra care and effort if you have any assistive aids (cains, walkers, wheelchairs, etc).

Really nice Campground, we spent a week here riding our UTV. It is connected to the trail system in Clark County which is great for riding. Nice big campsites with electric & fire pits, they have wood & ice available for purchase. They delivered wood to my site, or they have a wheelbarrow you can use. Showers & 2 different bathrooms also a pavilion & playground. We really enjoyed our time there & probably will camp here again.
