Soledad Canyon RV Resort- Thousand Trails RV Park

Somewhat friendly staff, very disappointing park. Many amenities are closed or in serious need of repairs. Sites are extremely cramped with little to no personal space or privacy available to yourself. Sewer connections are too deep compared to surrounding ground making airtight seals impossible (gross!). The grounds have trash and dog feces scattered from visitors that do not pick up after themselves or their pets. We fortunately shortened our stay from a week to 2 nights to find better accommodations. Location is right next to an active railroad with passenger service to and from LA, so get ready for your rig to shake at 1:30 AM if you are placed too close to the tracks. By far our least favorite Thousand Trails park as full-timers, and we will be sure to stay elsewhere, even if that means spending money and not using our membership at this park.

Gorgeous campground. We stayed for three weeks in January 2026 and had a lovely time. Staff was very kind and helped us extend our stay early on. Views around the campground are absolutely incredible. There are also a wide selection of walking and hiking options right around the area if that is something you enjoy. The campground can be a bit more chilly than surrounding areas, though, so be prepared for that! There are a handful of areas that have pretty foul odors around the campground, which I’d imagine would be very rough to be camped near. Additionally, as of January 2026, the dog park is locked shut. Not sure if it is a seasonal thing or what.

I'm a life rv place and it's a #2 because it's when I just need a feel away from the much days everyday. BUT here as I am now I most of the time let family know where I'm at because I will turn my phone off for a couple of days and enjoy

My first time going camping and I loved this place. So nice and peaceful. when I went with my boyfriend and his family they were filming up there. they have cabins if you don't wanna tent outside and they have one pool on one side with a Jacuzzi and the other side the have a bigger pool but that one doesn't have a Jacuzzi.

It's such a wonderful site. The site is well maintained in every aspect. There are hiking trails, pools, spa, basketball, tennis courts, horse shoes, mini golf, volleyball, plus 2 community clubhouses. There are pool tables, foozball, air hockey, many classic board games, plus whatever activities they have planned.

This is the most beautiful little community of RV parks. Very upper scale , plenty of hiking, swimming in the pool , relax in there hot tub or play pool in their game lounge with large screen tvs pool tables music sitting areas. This place has options to stay long term short term also fairly priced. You can also buy memberships that cuts the cost exponentially. The manager and staff are amazingly nice and helpful. They have sanitation station vacuums and air water electric hookups anything you really need at a RV park you also can tent camp or rent cabins. This is our home away from home. Undoubtedly you should visit this place summer or winter you'll enjoy and not regret this experience. All amenities inside park.

This campground is my home base. I've been here for most of this year living in my camper! The views are amazing of Soledad canyon and the staff is great. It's awesome having two pools to choose from along with two laundry rooms as well. Plus the campground is so spaced out I can easily walk my dog for miles and not have to leave the grounds!

**Updated review** Our last visit was over 4 years ago. Much has improved since then. Bravo to the new Manager!! 👏 New basketball courts, pickle ball courts, dump stations, bathrooms (select), washers/dryers, pool deck, store, adult recreation room furniture and pool tables. There is much, much, more green grass than in recent years! A new bridge, electrical in K section and hot tub repair are in the works! Staff seems more friendly and professional than my last visit. 👌Kiddos to the Manager! Can't wait for a dip in the new hot tub. Please fix soon! 🙏 Only cons is the train noise near by and wifi, but hey you're camping!

Awesome spot! The trains passing were frequent and loud but since we ran air conditioner, not too bad.

There needs to be a system put in place to track in real time which RV stalls have or have not been occupied so that this info can be relayed to customer inquiring upon check in. Especially those in my situation who have screaming toddlers & babys in the RV (was in need of full hook ups on a Friday evening). I think this would be a huge improvement from simply telling the customer that the spots are filled on a "first come, first served" basis & you need to go scour the property to find a spot. Also, the "red paint" designation system for "out of order" stalls is faulty & out dated. needs innovation. Property has potential, gorgeous location, attractive ammenities, & friendly & professional staff.

Parts of the park are too crowded. Sites far too close. But you can find spots that feel more private and roomy. Just drive through and see what feels right for you. Att and TMobile is spotty but if you have an external antenna and wifi signal booster you can pull it in. Test your site before you settle on it.

I've been here quite a bit and the bathrooms are closed A LOT! Also the power gets shut off pretty often. Very inconvenient. Other than that it's a good place. Acton is an awesome place! 👍 Gorgeous desert sunrise and sunsets! 🌅

Huge park, no cell coverage, like several of TT parks, it needs upkeep and repair. There is no "adult only" lodge and pool, both are family style. The pool water in the incredibly massive pool is cold, for those that like that. Too cold for me even after a long hot summer to warm it up. Will go back, it would be our favorite if there was some $ reinvested. The trains that go by often do so unnoticed. Lots of activities and bands. No water in the river, it's been a drought.
