Park clean and kept / mowed. The sites were spacious & not right on top of neighbors. The Rangers and hosts were very nice. Park relaxing and quiet day & night! The trailer pad was nice & level.

This is probably the cleanest COE Park I've visited this entire summer!🧹 I see the park hosts, they have a four-wheel vehicle. They are out and about. They are inspecting and cleaning.🙌🏻 However, The ceiling in the bath house has more than 20 years of spider nests, cobwebs,🕸️ hornet nests, and junk all over the ceiling so thick it looks like a Halloween haunted house!🕷️ It is absolutely horrendous 🫣. The waterfront sites are beautiful. But one section doesn't have a whole lot of trees and can be a bit hot. Two other items which could deter you from choosing to visit here are the ants🐜🐜🐜 and the birds.🐦🐦🐦 The ant piles are absolutely everywhere. If you are tenting you would have to take some serious precautions. And the mockingbirds. If you have tinted windows they will make a mess out of your truck and your camper trying to attack the reflection! 😲 If you unknowingly get a site near one of their nests. 😬 They are relentless! 😖 And besides the mockingbirds there can be a occasional vulture issue. If you have a soft top on your truck bed, roll it up because those birds will tear it up!🤬 It's a decent sized park. With three individual loops. An entire herd of deer🦌 Must be a dozen newborns. Conveniently located restrooms, and dozens of dumpsters! It's a pretty nice park. Quite large. Great for walking around. But a lot of it is in disrepair, although there are some exceptions like I see there has been some work done on the beams surrounding the sites👷🏻♂️ Something else unusual is this location has five boat🚤 ramps in two different areas of the park. 😱 Very popular on the weekends! During the summer of course.🏊🏻♂️ There is a pretty nice trail here.🚶🏻♂️🥾 It's wide. Does need some maintenance.🚧 But it is a pleasant morning or afternoon walk. Take your dog.

Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets over the water. Loads of wildlife to view. Shady spots are a godsend in the Texas heat. Very friendly and helpful staff. 3 days and 2 nights of peaceful beauty.

The boat ramp had plenty of good options on busiest weekend July 4th, was clean area and nicely kept, even provided a few spare life jackets for if someone may have forgot there that I seen just hanging off a sign.Folks that loaded and unload there all seem to be locals , that know how to actually drive a boat onto a trailer ,with even better driving wives pulling them with truck, fast safe and efficient ,only reason 4star horrible flying anything type bugs but my daughter all up. I otherwise loved the experience!

Everyone here was very nice and we felt safe there tent camping. The restrooms were clean and the park was well maintained. We spent the weekend camping here with friends and their family. We had such a great and relaxing time we wanted to extend our stay another night (Sunday). We went to the front and the lady said sorry they were completely full and the chances anyone would cancel were slim to none. Our friend looked at their online booking site and saw that there were PLENTY of spots left so we booked our spot for another night. I'm not sure why she lied about no spots being available.

Love this area. Plenty of scenery and let's not forget the Lake... good size .. 11 acres of H2o! Fishing anybody? Don't t forget your license. You might make the next episode of Lonestar Law!

We really enjoyed our campsite! Stayed right on the lake, great sunsets, well maintained sites. Bath house is a little outdated but clean, there’s hot water but only for a short while. Site wasn’t level which was an issue for our class B but we made do. Saw lots of deer and armadillos! I would stay again.

Beautiful Corps of Engineers Campground. Lots of spaces for RVs and tents as well. Nice spacing of sites and most have large oak trees.

Great park, with awesome views. Wish they would maintain the park a bit better and add full hookups. But none of the local parks seem to have any or just a few. Park people are very nice and helpful. Local place "wild bills" great convenience store with really good food. Bad thing, check-in as at 3p no sooner. Check-out 2p.
